PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography #26 : The naked trees
This photo was taken by the shores of Laguna Epecuén, Argentina. The town called Carhue is located by the lake. The trees around the lake are looked «dead» like these two. In 1985 the dam broke and led to flooding. The land close to the lake, including parts of Carhue and nearby Villa Epecuén almost disappeard, because the water level raised 10 meters. Even when the water startet to recide, the trees never recovered. This was 25 years ago and they still look dead. Is this landscape 25 years old one? You captured this photo 25 years ago and what camera it was? Sorry if I'm not understanding it clearly.
I took the photo in January 2023. But the landscape and theese 2 trees were covered by water for 25 years because the water in this lake rose.
Ok now I understand! Thanks for letting me know! Cheers! 🥂
🙂👍
Cool shot. The opposite of what I got here in Australia (lush and green) but somehow absolutely beautiful.
Yeah, all the trees a long the shore looks like these two, a very special place.
Yay! 🤗
