📸 PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography #116 : Afternoon at Cap Malhereux
This place is called Cap Malhereux and is located at the northern tip of Mauritius. This is one of my favourite places to enjoy a late afternoon. Usually there are boats coming in. Locals who has been fishing will return. Families enjoy collecteing craps or just sit there and enjoy the afternoon. I can see why. I allways stay in Grand Baie, so it's a short drive to get up here. Strange the name of the cap, malheureux = sad, it seems a little paradise.

Yes, strange name, but there is a story behind. The place was named by the French who had the colonial power until 1810. The British had made attempts to take over, without succes. Then the made an attack here at this place and took the British by surprise. So it was a sad/ unlucky day for the French...hence the name
