This statue is placed on the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, Colombia. The plaza is huge, surrounded by impresseive architecture in the colonial barrio La Candalaria. In the middle of the plaza you will find this statue of Simon Bolívar. This is name you I have heard often, because this man became famous because he played an important key role in the latin Amercia independence movement. He was a Venezuelan political and military leader born in 1783.
