This photo was taken in Grand Baie, Mauritius. This town is one of the most popular tourist destination on the island. It's located in the north – west, so you can get beautiful sunsets up here. In the afternoon I usually see many locals fishing. A walk along the seaside is great in the late afternoon before the sun sets. Grand Baie has a beach and lots of activities connected to water. I imagine the following situation: that man walked to that rock when the tide was low, got so relaxed fishing and thinking about life that he hasn't even realized the tide when up. In a few minutes he'll wake up from his day dreaming and "oh shit, I'm stuck in here"

haha...you are actually on to something! It was not so deep. He can walk in water to his his knees until back on the beach 🙂
