Hello friends of the seventh art, today I share with you the summary of a fascinating film, both for its excellent actors and for its plot, its title, Chronicles of a Deception, with Antonio Banderas and Liam Neeson, (spoiler warning).
This story begins at a fashion show with Lisa, her husband Peter and her daughter Abigail, we see that Lisa is a shoe designer and all the models wear shoes designed by her, her husband says that this is the right time to celebrate the occasion, shortly after Lisa goes to the restaurant where her husband is waiting for her, she sits down and talks for a while, she frequently goes to Milan to close deals with shoe stores. After several days Lisa tells him that she will travel to Milan to settle accounts with a client, she says goodbye saying that she will return soon so she packs her bags and leaves. Then the movie jumps 9 months and we discover that Lisa has died.
We find Peter taking out Lisa's clothes when he finds her phone, picks it up, and then a voicemail arrives, saying how much he misses her.

Peter discovers that Lisa had a lover and visits his daughter telling her everything he has discovered but she does not believe him.
The next morning at his company he asks his secretary to call Joe, the company's cybersecurity specialist. Peter tries different passwords to open the folder of photos of his wife with another man in Milan. The images show them together in restaurants by the lake and in a hotel room. The photos make it clear that Lisa had a relationship with that man. Peter is devastated.
He flies to Milan in search of Ralph, his wife's lover, he goes to the cafeteria very early and sits at the same table where the man usually sits and when Ralph arrives, Peter invites him to a game of chess, they begin to get to know each other during the game talking about a woman he met, Peter's wife, although he tells her that he hasn't heard from her for nine months.
For her part, the daughter goes to her father's house and finds the message on her mother's phone, proving her father completely right.
The next morning Peter and Ralph meet again in the same place to play another game of chess, to continue talking about his love affair with his wife, but they are interrupted by a phone call to Ralph, it was Peter's daughter pretending to be his mother but without saying a word.When they say goodbye, Peter meets his daughter who tells him that she discovered everything about her mother's lover.
The next day Peter goes to look for Ralp at the address he had, when he finds him dressed dirty and in the basement of the building, when he finds a hammer, he holds it as if to eliminate it but gives up and leaves.

When he arrives at the hotel he meets his daughter who leaves telling him to forget everything and go with her, but he refuses. Shortly after, she sends Ralph an email pretending to be Lisa, meeting him in the usual place. Ralph gets excited and calls Peter to ask for money.
On the day of the appointment, Peter is sitting in Lisa's place. When Ralph sees him, he is shocked, Peter confesses that he is Lisa's husband, who died nine months ago from cancer. At that moment the film returns to Lisa's illness at the time of her illness and that she did not want any treatment. For his part, Ralph asks him how he discovered everything and he tells him, saying that he was the one who answered some messages. Ralph replies that he may be a failure but that Lisa was happier with him, and thanks her for the money, telling her that he won't give it back. Peter leaves, leaving him at the hotel.
Some time later, Peter calls his daughter to invite her to a memorial in London where he invites all of Lisa's friends, including Ralph.
Later we see Peter and his daughter sitting waiting for the train that will take them home, when he tells her that Ralph was despicable like his friends and that they do not deserve his revenge, only his total indifference, just like his mother.

Hola amigos del séptimo arte, hoy les comparto el resumen de una película fascinante, ya sea por sus excelentes actores como por su trama, su título, Crónicas de un engaño, con Antonio Banderas y Liam Neeson, (aviso de spoiler).
Esta historia comienza en un desfile de moda con Lisa su marido peter y su hija Abigail vemos que Lisa es diseñadora de calzado y todas las modelos llevan zapatos diseñados por ella, su esposo dice que este es el momento adecuado para celebrar la ocasión, poco después Lisa va al restaurante donde su marido la espera ella se sienta y conversa en un rato,ella frecuentemente va a Milán para cerrar negocios con tiendas de calzado. Después de varios días Lisa le dice que viajará a Milán para ajustar cuentas con un cliente, se despide diciendo que volverá pronto así que hace las maletas y se marcha. Después la película da un salto de 9 meses y descubrimos que Lisa ha muerto.

Encontramos a Peter sacando la ropa de Lisa cuando encuentra el móvil, lo coge y a continuación llega un mensaje de voz, diciendo cuánto la extraña.
Peter descubre que Lisa tenía un amante y visita a su hija diciéndole todo lo que ha descubierto pero ella no le cree.
A la mañana siguiente en su empresa le pide a su secretaria que llame a Joe la especialista en ciberseguridad de la compañía . Peter intenta diferentes contraseñas para abrir la carpeta fotos de su esposa con otro hombre en Milán las imágenes los muestran juntos en restaurantes junto al lago y en una habitación de hotel las fotos dejan claro que Lisa mantuvo una relación con ese hombre. Peter queda devastado.
Vuela a Milan en busca Ralph el amante de su esposa, va a la cafetería muy temprano y se sienta en la misma mesa en la que el hombre suele sentarse y cuando Ralph llega, Peter lo invita a una partida de ajedrez, comienzan a conocerse durante la partida hablando de una mujer que conoció, la esposa de Peter, aunque le comenta que hace nueve meses no sabe de ella.
Por su parte la hija va a la casa de su padre y encuentra el mensaje en el teléfono de su madre, dándole toda la razón a su padre.
A la mañana siguiente se vuelven a encontrar Peter y Ralph en el mismo lugar para jugar otra partida de ajedrez, para seguir hablando de su amorío con su esposa, pero los interrumpen una llamada telefónica a Ralph, era la hija de Peter haciendose pasar por su madre pero sin decir palabra alguna. Cuando se despiden Peter se encuentra con su hija quien le cuenta que descubrió todo del amante de la madre.
Al día siguiente Peter va a buscar a Ralp a la dirección que tenía, cuando se lo encontra vestido sucio y en el sotano del edificio, cuando encuentra un martillo, lo sostiene como para eliminarlo pero desiste y se marcha.

Al llegar al hotel se encuentra con su hija que se marcha diciendole que olvide todo y se marche con ella, pero él se niega. Al poco rato le manda un correo a Ralph haciendose pasar por Lisa citandolo en el lugar de siempre. Ralph se emociona y llama a Peter para pedirle dinero.
Al día de la cita quien está sentado es Peter en el lugar de Lisa. Cuando Ralph lo ve se queda impactado, Peter le confiesa que es el esposo de Lisa, que ella murió hace nueve meses producto al cáncer. En ese momento la película retoma la enfermedad de Lisa el tiempo de su enfermedad y que ella no quiso tratamiento alguno. Por su parte Ralph le pregunta como descubrió todo y este le cuenta, diciendo que fue el quien respondió algunos mensajes. Ralph responde que puede ser un fracaso pero que Lisa era más feliz con él, y le da gracias por el dinero diciéndole que no lo devolverá. Peter se marcha dejandolo en el hotel.
Un tiempo después, Peter llama a su hija para invitarla a un homenaje en Londres donde invita a todos los amigos de Lisa incluso a Ralph.
Después vemos a Peter y su hija sentados esperando el tren que los llevará a casa, cuando le dice que Ralph era despreciable al igual que sus amigos y que no merecen su venganza, solo sus total indiferencia, al igual que su madre.
