Back in 1998 I traveled all around Europe. We went to a bunch of countries including Greece. Visited Athens, Mykonos and Corfu.

Aside from the ancient buildings and tasty food, I remember being told we could not flush toilet paper in Greek bathrooms and had to use a special bin.

I was not happy. πŸ’©

Have things improved? Or is this just something you Greeks make the tourists do?

Oh! And one of the ferry’s had a squat toilet. I must have a seat! πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Obviously you haven't been to Taiwan before! What special bin? It's just a normal one in Taiwan.

I remember when I first went to live in Taiwan, squatting was quite hard work, luckily I do yoga so that helped

πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ The special TP bin. I dunno… in the US we can flush everything. I was traumatized by have the πŸ’© covered TP just in a bin and not flushed away. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Yuck, that's gross! In many of the toilets in Taiwan, especially the old buildings people are asked to throw their no 1 paper in the uncovered bin right next to the toilet.

They didn't ask that for the number 2 though, that gets flushed down the loo along with..... πŸ™ƒ

Squatting to poop aligns your body naturally, straightens the colon, and reduces straining. It’s better for your gut health and prevents issues like hemorrhoids. Think of it as unkinking a hose. Easier flow, less effort!

This is still true. It's just a pipeline thing. Ours is thinner so they are easier to get clogged πŸ˜”
