WEDNESDAY WALK OBSERVATION

Wednesday walk
Hello friends,
I was bored at work and I decided to take a walk down the street. I walked down to Demonstration Nursery schools.

It was not during school hours. The school had no gate at the entrance and as such having access into the school compound wasn’t a problem. I was so curious to see how the school compound was when everyone had gone home. Wow! I met the school compound very quiet.

Then I cast my mind back then in our nursery school days when you walk with your friends to school and immediately you will be thinking of going back home to enjoy afternoon meal. I imagine back then how uneasy to access the school compound used to be when you are late to school. I hope you understand what I mea. That is if the head teacher or the teacher on duty catch you, infact you will smell rat for coming to school late.

I noticed that even when the school had closed for the day, the school compound is still tidy.

This reminded me of our days in school. We used to do picking before we go to assembly hall for closing prayers. This used to help keep the school compound clean and tidy even when school dismisses.

As the pupils and the staff were not around, there was no distraction and by the side of the school was play ground with different play facilities such as swing.

This reminded me of those days we used to enjoy break time playing with this play material.
We used to have fun with this play material. Then we used to go there with our friends, one person will sit on the swing per time and the others will push the swings.
This play ground is an open space and there was much fresh air. Swinging exposed me to the fresh air the most and I really enjoyed the kind of fresh air that was blowing my direction.

Another play material in this school is merry-go-round. The merry-go-round is not in good condition. This made me to remember how we used to manage our dysfunctional merry-go-round. The experience wasn’t good one as our school uniforms were torn by merry-go-round and other dysfunctional play materials.

You know children life, and then we did not even care about our school uniform we were only after the pleasure in using the merry-go-round. Even when we were warned, we do sneak to the play ground and play with them.
I later left the play ground and walked close to the school classroom block and here is the aesthetic beauty of the place.

The school classroom block is a storey building with one big entrance. The entrance was closed and I noticed that it is always closed when the school hour is over. As such I could not gain access to view the classroom.
I then turned and moved to a tree at the middle of the school compound and I sat under it.

You could imagine the kind fresh air I received. I could now take thought of my working place how boring the office was. I was now thinking of my way back home.
The Wednesday walk really relief me of the boring day I had in the office. It excited me and refresh me as I now think of having good time with my family at home.
