Chiemseer Hell in a high speed train

Going to Founders Summit

Some days ago I did a post about my travel to the founders summit 2025 in Wiesbaden.

During this motivational event I had many good talks with several start ups, pitched a few times our #worldmappin project and met even a Hivian at the event.

Now here comes the post about my way back home where I switched drinks from coffee to something else. Yeah, you know where I’m talking about.

Adding some food helps after a day at the conference.

Hey Hive Family
enjoy a great beer at high Speed
and let us travel the world again

A litte view to Wiesbaden

The nice looking train station in Wiesbaden was calling to get pictured. Sadly, I did not saw many more locations as the event was just 200m from the train station.

But during the walk I met this nice water 💦 well aka SPringbrunnen in German language

Just a few pictures from the Founders Summit and soon a more detailed review. They had a around 8000 visitors and a brilliant evening program that I missed this year

About my travel to Wiesbaden

I called it "The German Train Trip" and you may read it here https://peakd.com/worldmappin/@detlev/german-train-trip

It comes with a bunch of pictures from such a lovely trip I did that morning. But as I said, this at another post from that day.

Now about the Chiemseer Hell

This beer, the Chiemseer Hell, is like a Bavarian Breeze in a Bottle.
I bought this directly at the shop at the train station and added some food for the ride.

IMG_2574.jpeg

Chiemseer Hell is what happens when Bavaria decides to bottle a day at the lake.

Brewed in the traditional Helles style and weighing in at a smooth 4.9% ABV, this beer is as crisp and charming as a morning stroll through the foothills of the Alps.

The first sip is pure serenity: mild malt sweetness, a gentle grainy backbone, and a whisper of herbal hop bitterness that disappears just as you start chasing it. It’s clean, well-balanced, and supremely drinkable.

Exactly the kind of beer that doesn’t shout but still wins the room.

If you’ve ever had a beer that made you say,

“Ahh, that hits the spot”

this is that beer.

The Special "Something"

What makes Chiemseer Hell special isn’t that it reinvents the wheel – it’s that it perfects it. This beer leans into the purity and clarity that make the Helles style such a staple of Bavarian beer culture.

There’s nothing fancy here, no dry-hopping, no barrel-aging, no wild fermentation experiments. Just flawless execution.

What really stands out is the softness of the mouthfeel, likely thanks to the high-quality spring water used in brewing. That, and the fact that it goes down so easily you’ll wonder where the first bottle went and how you’re already halfway through the second.

The Chiemsee Style

See how the brewery shows up at Instagram where I found this cool pic.

The Cover

The Chiemseer Hell bottle looks like it came straight from a lakeside beer garden. The label features a classic Bavarian crest, a subtle reference to the Chiemsee lake region, and soft blue and gold tones that feel fresh and timeless.

It’s not flashy, but it radiates regional pride. The typography is traditional but clean, and the overall vibe is exactly what you’d expect from a beer meant to be enjoyed with pretzels, friends, and a view of the mountains.

The Brewery and Its Location

Chiemseer Hell is brewed by the Rosenheimer Spezialitätenbrauerei, a proudly independent brewery located in Rosenheim, Upper Bavaria. Nestled between the Chiemgau Alps and the Inn River, Rosenheim is steeped in beer tradition and local pride.

The brewery is known for producing authentic Bavarian styles using regional ingredients and time-honored brewing techniques. While the Chiemsee lake lends its name and spirit to the beer, it’s Rosenheim that brings the craftsmanship.

This is beer born of Bavarian identity, brewed by people who understand that quality isn’t just a standard, it’s a matter of regional honor.

Fun fact:

Chiemseer Hell has gained a sort of cult following among beer garden regulars, road-trippers, and those who just want a solid beer without all the fuss.

Final Thoughts

Chiemseer Hell isn’t here to blow your mind. It’s a beer to make your day better.

It’s approachable, clean, and refreshing. This a beer that brings together everything that makes Bavarian brewing so beloved: simplicity, skill, and soul.
Whether you’re lakeside, fireside, or just outside, this beer delivers the easygoing satisfaction you didn’t know you needed.

Prost to good beer, clean lakes, and long summer afternoons.

Sorry for this pic, the train was "shaking" a bit

Back home with high speed

I was happy to get one of this ICE train. And sometimes the German trains are on time. Enjoying this with such a beer is damn close to be nice trip. ;-)

I'm not sure if I've had that beer, but it sounds good. Hope you enjoyed your trip. Speedy trains are a wonderful thing and ought to be a good alternative to flying around Europe. Our UK railways are largely a bit antiquated.

That water well pic gave me a lil peaceful moment. I love random finds like that when traveling! Makes the short walks between venues way more memorable.

My friend @detlev, I arrived so tired from a trip that all I wanted was this beer and this burger. Jumping into this water would also be an option HAHAHAA.

I'm busy drinking a Lidl festival wheatbeer :D Not so bad at all. no really, but then I have a special fondness for wheatbeer though usually I prefer the Belgian ones.

I have a 25kg container if wheat malt extract ready to be brewed which is going to be all the easier now that I have just moved into house with a cellar.
