At Conf3rence 2024
Hey Hive Family
proof a place you visited with a pin
and let us travel the world again
The Stadium - Signal Iduna Park
Strolling past the towering yellow pylons on Strobelallee, where I hang out two days for #Conf3rence 2025, I feel like I’ve wandered into a museum where the exhibits yell back, in perfect harmony and in black and yellow.
Even from the sidewalk, the stadium hums with a promise: someday soon, I’ll follow the crowd inside and let the noise do the rest.
Walking by the giant
As I amble along, those iconic pylons point skyward like exclamation marks, as if to say, “Yes, football matters here.”
The air feels charged, even on quiet days; this place stores adrenaline the way libraries store wisdom.
It’s massive, sure, but the magic is in how close everything feels. It’s like the stadium is leaning in to whisper, then suddenly decides to sing.
The Yellow Wall energy
On the south side, I can practically hear the future of 24,000 plus voices syncing into a single, spine-tingling wave.

They call it the Yellow Wall, but it’s more like a living mural that redraws itself every matchday.
Some stands make noise; this one changes the weather.
A brisk history walk
Born in 1974 and raised on big dreams, the stadium grew up alongside some of football’s fiercest nights.
It expanded, modernized, and put on those unmistakable yellow shoulders that now define Dortmund’s skyline.
Cup finals, World Cup drama, and weekly epics have turned steel and concrete into story and legend.
Peek inside
Tours invite you down the tunnel, across the technical area, and into the press rooms. This places where nerves are measured in decibels and @driipam did this tour where we really look to her pictures from inside.
Even in daylight without a match in sight, the view of that south stand feels like a secret most happily kept.
Facts
- Official name: Signal Iduna Park; traditional name: Westfalenstadion.
- Capacity: 81,365 for league matches with standing; around 65,000 in all-seater international mode.
- The largest football stadium in Germany.
- Südtribüne (South Stand) standing terrace: approximately 24,454 fans.
- Opened on April 2, 1974; initial capacity was around 54,000.
- Hosted the 2001 UEFA Cup Final and multiple matches at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Fun fact
The first Bundesliga goal at the stadium wasn’t scored by a Dortmund player. Schalke’s Erwin Kremers nabbed it during a “home” game for Bochum in 1976. Rivalry spice included.
Motivations
Walking by, I feel the stadium nudge me with a grin: show up on a big night and bring belief—it’ll handle the rest.
There are louder gadgets and flashier arenas, but few places turn hope into noise with such joyful precision.
Even in silence, the silhouette suggests movement, like a drum roll waiting for its cue. With this extra power we - a group of Hivians - stayed two days to spread the word about this and our community of web3 fans. Thanks to @dripam @louis88 @lordbutterfly @solarwarrior @rivalzzz @ssekulji

hmm i don't see a
on the hive car 😂😂
I really hope most of the world and community here knows what this stadium and football club is about - this is the main area of German football, the temple of fandom! Forget Maracana or Nou Camp!
Seems you had fun and pin success - even I might sound negative - still not sure what that rallye car transfer for Hive but different topic.
Glad you had a good time - did BTC-Echo write about Hive? Anymedia coverage links?
Hi @uwelang good Point. As I did my speech st the BTC-echo stage I will try to go into contact
Your way of narrating makes you imagine the stadium full of fans and the good vibes that football gives... Thank you for showing this place in the world. Best regards
