Purpose of Existence

Hello everyone and members of the Hive reach out community. This is my first post in the community since I’m a newbie and this will be my third post on hive. I was introduced to this community by a friend and I wanted to give it a try. Thanks for reading

The question "What is the purpose of existence?" means asking why we are here and what makes life meaningful. People have wondered about this for a very long time, and many different ideas have been shared to help us understand.

Base on the little knowledge I had on existentialism, some people believe that life doesn’t come with a set purpose. The idea, called existentialism, says that we are born without a clear reason for being here. Instead, each person has the freedom to choose their own purpose by making decisions and taking actions. In this view, life’s meaning is something we create ourselves. It’s up to us to decide what matters and how we want to live.

Other people think that life has a specific goal or reason. For example, some philosophers believed that the purpose of life is to be happy in a deep and lasting way. This kind of happiness comes from living a good life being kind, fair, wise, and caring toward others. When we live like this, we feel that our life has meaning.

Different cultures and beliefs also offer their own answers. Some religions say that we are here to serve a higher power or to grow spiritually. Others, like Buddhism, teach that life’s purpose is to reduce suffering and find peace inside ourselves. These ideas encourage us to be calm, mindful, and to focus on what really matters.

For many people, finding purpose is a personal journey. It might come from family, friends, work, helping others, or doing things we love. Sometimes, purpose changes as we grow and learn new things. The important part is that having a purpose helps us feel happy and strong, especially when life gets hard.
