The Lion, the Dog and the Scorpion (LOH 246)

I believe in dreams. Especially ones that I can remember or feel very real. Most of the time, dreams I remember have a lot to do with animals. I take it as a sign especially when the dreams give me a positive feelings. Then there are those that are just outright nightmares. This is never good.

Recently, I dreamt of a white lion. It wasn’t aggressive or anything, it was just present and it felt like something really worth noting. I know we don’t have accurate dream interpretations but I never felt threatened by the lion. I felt no fear even. I was led to believe that it was something good.

So, I employed the help of Gemini and I got several interpretations but the one that really struck me was the one that had to do with a Growth. Apparently, the lion signified challenges that won’t bring me down but rather unlock my potentials. It would usher me into a new season of my life.

I don’t base my life on superstition or things like this but for some reason, I believed this one. Maybe because I was actually going through a change and doing things I would otherwise shun. Trying new stuff and making myself relevant where it matters.

The other dream I had was about dogs. In Nigeria, they don’t attribute dreams about dogs to anything good. But this one didn’t feel oppressive in any way. I did not feel like I was dealing with any demonic operation or anything. It just felt like I was with friends.

It was a very big friendly Labrador. Drooly too. But it was cheerful, playful and very fluffy to touch. I felt my happiness even when I woke from that dream. I did not google that but I felt way too good for it to be anything negative.

One negative experience I have with an animal that occurs over and over again is the scorpion. Maybe cause I hate it but I always wake with a start when it comes to this animal. I also mostly have these dreams at a dreary point in my life.

I asked Gemini for interpretations. Scorpions are related to bad things; death, pain, grief, loss and so many others. A black scorpion is worse. Most times, it’s a black scorpion I see and not long after that, I find myself struggling with one thing or the other or I get the news of someone’s death. Sometimes, I learn that a neighbor close by passed away.

Sometimes even this dream will manifest and I will find scorpions littered in the house somewhere or one big one close to my bed. So, when I dream of these, I pray.

In conclusion, I always dream and I remember them. When I do, I remember how it made me feel, I try to recall the circumstances surrounding the dream and then I decide what it means. I believe that you create your own reality, even with your dreams. Nothing has the power over you unless you let it, dreams aren’t excluded.

Scorpion is poisonous and seeing it in the dreams certainly not gives positive feelings.
