I Read Manuals (Sometimes).

IMG_6830.jpeg

From the very early times of my life, I always read the manuals of whatever appliances my mom bought, that and electrical gadgets. From our TV to blender. Call it curiosity but I was always intrigued enough for ten minutes to skim and glance through. Especially since there were warnings and guidelines on how to properly manage said appliances or gadgets to prolong its life. Like I said, I lose interest in ten minutes especially if the manual is bulkier than a pamphlet.

At this age, not much has changed. I can sit through the agonising boredom of reading the manual of something that has more than three pages. Like our DVD player, when we got it, I had to read through the entire ten pages. It was boring as hell but I had to do it for my mom’s peace of mind. My Laptop came with no manual because it wasn’t a new one. Got it off the Belgium market. However, as I spent time with it, I learned things that even manuals may not teach. We know how it goes with technology. Always growing and evolving, morphing into one thing or the other.

I think the only time I can remember enjoying reading a manual was when I got a gift from my woman, Jhymi. It was a set of Oraimo Earpods. Reading the manual was very easy and even interesting for so many reasons. Not only was it a thoughtful gift but it was also linked directly to my favourite pastime which was music. Understanding how to use this device was paramount in my heart at the moment to the point that the french translation of the manual looked so appealing.

So, maybe I do like reading manuals if they are about things I am genuinely interested in or from people who I genuinely care about - you get what I mean.

Thanks for reading.gif

A very high level of interest is needed to actually sit down and read a manual. It's boring at first, until something happens to the device and you remember, oh let me take a look at the manual.
Happens to me every time.

But the truth is Manual seems very stressful to read, when we can easily google anything we dont understand, I always throw the manual away with the packaging.

What brand is BIG1 Plus? They literally had "Read Me First" on the manual. I bet people wouldn't notice.

I really find hard to believe you read any manual that was longer than half a page!
You get your slaves to work things for you 🤣🤣🤣
