Funny Chain Messaging.

I have come across countless superstitions over the course of my life. In the past, these beliefs had a hold on me and sometimes, I would find myself not doing this or that because I could die if I didn’t. I remember the one time that chain messages were so rampant. There would be a message along the lines of how you would get good things come to you if you share or how the opposite would happen if you don’t. Looking back now, that was just a brilliant way of mental slavery and people fell for it, some still do judging by the amounts of the “share to 10 people on your list and watch your life transform in 3 days” lies I get.

Now, there was one I found really funny. It seemed like something of a chain prayer. I believe in the power of prayer, I really do, but this one was bizarre. It said something about how ignoring to share the prayer would spell bad luck for the recipient. I remember asking the person who sent it to me if God was a jobless being in their mind. Now that I recall that conversation, I was pretty rude given that they were years my senior and serving a functionary role in the church. At that moment, I didn’t care.

Their response was also void of any form of politeness, and mentioned how it is my type that blaspheme the Lord. I went on to tell them to really go and read their bible as they clearly had no understanding of what true christianity was to send such eye-tainting messages. Ugh! I was some kid! I received a query from my church department for being rude to the man. I didn't care then. You won’t catch me running my mouth now though. I may be Christian but the battle is the Lord’s and the Lord is very well capable of speaking for Himself. I don’t even bother asking or trying to explain anything, I just ignore or block you.
