Mike Novogratz, der CEO von Galaxy Digital, unkt, dass ein Bitcoin-Kurs von einer Million US-Dollar im nächsten Jahr kein Grund zur Freude wäre, sondern vielmehr ein Zeichen dafür, dass die US-Wirtschaft in ernsthaften Schwierigkeiten steckt.
„Leute, die sich über einen Millionen-Dollar-Kurs für Bitcoin im nächsten Jahr freuen würden, verstehen nicht, dass das nur passieren wird, wenn wir uns innenpolitisch in einer richtig beschissenen Lage befinden“, sagte Novogratz am Mittwoch gegenüber Natalie Brunell im Coin Stories-Podcast.
„Ich würde einen niedrigeren Bitcoin-Kurs in einer stabileren US-Wirtschaft bevorzugen“, sagte Novogratz und erklärte, dass starke Währungsabwertungen oft auf Kosten der Zivilgesellschaft gehen.

Der Krypto-Analyst Wolf Of All Streets äußerte sich in einem Interview mit dem Cointelegraph Magazine im Juli 2023 ähnlich: „Je schneller ein solcher Kurs kommt, desto schlimmer wird die Welt.“
Allerdings spekulieren mehrere Bitcoin-Experten dennoch über die Möglichkeit, dass Bitcoin bis 2026 einen Wert von einer Million US-Dollar erreichen könnte.
„So sehr ich Scott Bessent auch schätze und glaube, dass er alles, was er gesagt hat, auch so gemeint hat, so sehr scheitert er doch daran, die Verschuldung im Verhältnis zum BIP zu senken“, mahnte Novogratz.
„Das Defizit wird höher ausfallen, nicht niedriger“, merkte er warnend an.
Novogratz warnt vor Bitcoin-Treasuries als Blase
Novogratz gibt darüber hinaus zu bedenken, dass die zunehmende Adoption durch Bitcoin--Treasury-Unternehmen zu einer Spekulationsblase führen könnte.
„Ich bin generell etwas nervös, weil es sich wie eine Art Goldrausch anfühlt“, sagte er und verriet, dass Galaxy Digital etwa fünf Anrufe pro Woche von neuen Unternehmen erhält, die die führende Kryptowährung in ihre Bilanz aufnehmen wollen.
„Irgendwann fühlt sich das dann wie eine Blase an, wenn der Taxifahrer dich plötzlich nach der Bilanz eines Unternehmens fragt“, so Novogratz.
Allerdings sind viele Experten recht optimistisch, dass der Bitcoin früher als später die Marke von einer Million US-Dollar erreichen wird. Bullische Stimmen wie der Stratege Tom Lee von Fundstrat oder die Fondsmanagerin Cathie Wood rechnen schon vor 2030 mit einem Durchbruch durch diese Marke.

Novogratz, ein Prophet dem man gehör schenken sollte. Bitcoin steigt nicht im Wert weil die Technologie so atemberaubend ist, sondern weil der Wert von Staatlichen Währungen schwindet.

"People who would be excited about a million-dollar Bitcoin price next year don't understand that that will only happen if we're in a really crappy situation domestically," Novogratz told Natalie Brunell on the Coin Stories podcast on Wednesday.
"I would prefer a lower Bitcoin price in a more stable US economy," Novogratz said, explaining that sharp currency devaluations often come at the expense of civil society.
When a national currency collapses, investors often seek alternative safe havens to protect their assets.
Crypto analyst Wolf Of All Streets made a similar point in a July 2023 interview with Cointelegraph Magazine: "The faster that price collapse happens, the worse the world will be."
However, several Bitcoin experts are still speculating about the possibility of Bitcoin reaching a value of $1 million by 2026.
"As much as I appreciate Scott Bessent and believe he meant everything he said, he is failing badly to reduce the debt-to-GDP ratio," Novogratz warned.
"The deficit will be higher, not lower," he warned.
Novogratz warns of Bitcoin Treasuries as a bubble
Novogratz also cautions that the increasing adoption by Bitcoin treasury firms could lead to a speculative bubble.
"I'm generally a little nervous because it feels like a gold rush," he said, revealing that Galaxy Digital receives about five calls a week from new companies looking to add the leading cryptocurrency to their balance sheets.*
"At some point, it starts to feel like a bubble when the taxi driver suddenly asks you about a company's balance sheet," Novogratz said.
However, many experts are quite optimistic that Bitcoin will reach the $1 million mark sooner rather than later. Bullish voices like strategist Tom Lee of Fundstrat and fund manager Cathie Wood expect a breakthrough through this mark before 2030.

My personal conclusion:
Novogratz, a prophet worth listening to. Bitcoin isn't rising in value because the technology is so breathtaking, but because the value of government-backed currencies is dwindling.

1M bis nächstes Jahr ist nicht nur keine gute Entwicklung sondern auch sehr unwahrscheinlich. Frühestens in 4-5 Jahren mMn.
Deine Einschätzung finde ich auch realistischer . Zeigt allerdings auch den Vertrauensverlust in Fiatgeld.
Dem schließe ich mich an und wäre sogar noch etwas konservativer, beim übernächsten Zyklus also 2033, aber was weis meine Glaskugel schon. 🤷♂
Meinst der Zyklus bleibt noch so wie bisher, jetzt wo die großen Player einsteigen und nicht nur "kleine"?
Wie gesagt, so gut ist meine Glaskugel leider nicht.
Aber logisch gesehen sollten die prozentuellen Schwankungen dann weniger werden, lassen wir uns überraschen.

Makes a lot of sense! I think it's reasonable for BTC to reach 1M around 2030. Happening next year however would be a very steep climb coming from more systemic collapses IRL. As much as we know the ship is sinking, we don't want it to sink so fast :)
That's true, my friend. The value of Bitcoin is rising because they don't support the Fiat currencies of different countries, so to protect their savings they look for it as a way of protection.
Not only in the United States but also globally, economies would have problems, but I don't think it will reach $1,000,000 soon. For me, it would be as close to $200,000 as a base for 2026.

Bitcoin can go really parabolic even without the US economy being in turmoil. Once the cork is off, there's just not gonna be enough Bitcoin for everyone available and price will skyrocket. So far, a lot of old whales have been selling off their BTC at enormous profits, but they'll run dry at some point. The treasuries (and not just corporations, but also countries) will suck up all BTC. Brace yourselves!
The world's economies, or rather investors, are seeking to protect their money by having most of it in Bitcoin due to the many inconveniences that governments face due to problems with inflation and, above all, with the deficit that politicians face with their policies.

At the moment, people are only believing in Bitcoin and we are seeing how many more dollars are being invested every day and therefore its price is increasing and here we are seeing that now countries all over the world are getting into it, so it will not be easy to bring down the price.
That's very correct, the value of Bitcoin is on the rise and that is because it doesn't connect to Fiat not controlled by one person.and l love it.
Thank you for providing a timely analysis. Many people see the rise in the price of Bitcoin as a positive, but other coins are not growing in the same way. But the real question is, what economic reality is behind this rise?

Nun Bitcoin hat noch nicht einmal die 1% der Marktkapitalisierung von Fiatgeld. Wenn natürlich etwas Fiatgeld in Bitcoin fließen lässt es die Kurse Verhältnissmässig wesentlich stärker steigen. Ausserdem befinden wir uns nun in der Letzten Phase dieses Zyklus.
Ob die Zyklen noch so bleiben wenn ja nun Institutionen kräftig mit mischen!?
Ich denke die Zyklen sind immer noch vollkommen im takt.
