but!

you can see for yourself how the market reacts to such announcements. that means that there are enough investors who believe Trump's words. so we will have to see which promises he keeps after the swearing-in.

in Germany, parliament was dissolved today by a vote of no confidence. if Friedrich Merz (bought by BlackRock) becomes the new German Chancellor, then a major war could break out in Europe.

Merz wants to bomb Russia with long-range weapons and even recruit pensioners again. crazy times have dawned in Germany at the moment.

BlackRock has increased its share portfolio with Rheinmetall shares. Rheinmetall is Germany's largest weapons producer.

strong returns are expected from a war in Europe.

You may expect that Europe will have to figure this out on its own. Historically, the U.S. normally waits 2-3 years before getting into European wars. Democrats, not Republicans, tend to be the ones who realize we have an obligation to help. The Republicans are in complete control, and are there because people voted for a man who admires Hitler and has openly stated his desire to be dictator so they can get cheaper groceries. Europe is on its own, my friend.

Now we just have to wait and see. Although I believe that the USA (Democrats) and NATO provoked this conflict.

I'll make sure that our passports are up to date. If necessary, I'll just have to leave Germany with my family.

A good idea. In a sense, the crypto bull run is also well-timed. Bitcoin spends well everywhere. We hope it does not come to that, but it is best to be prepared.

I am no fan of Democrats either ... they are certainly not innocent ... but also remember: it has been almost 80 years since the Cold War began. That is a very long time for the U.S. to do anything, given that we are only 248 years old, and can have extensive changes in government every two years. We are overdue to drop the ball here. I am sorry to say that as a U.S. citizen, but I know my nation well. Eight years is too long for many of us to remember why certain stances in the world are important, to say nothing of eighty. Much of the citizenry here sees our standard of living slipping and does not care about much else but redirecting all possible resources into getting that fixed. Ukraine and Gaza can both perish and not be worried about at all. Now, Germany gets a bit more respect, because the country sees Anglo-Saxons as superior people ... but not enough so that Anglia or Saxony's concerns are important so long as groceries are too high and we can't live the American dream.

For that matter, human rights and protections are not as important -- this is a nation founded by slavers, and the Confederate and Nazi flags are back out flying again on the Republican side. Democrats did not care enough about that, internally, to tell President Biden to start grooming a viable successor in 2021 -- but the sitting president is an old Democrat, and in his youth did much as against human rights of minorities and women as his whole party did in the last of the "Dixiecrat" era. So, neither party is running the United States to care about me, much less you. Make your preparations for your family with this in mind.

In all fairness to the president-elect: I would be delighted if he does better than I expect. I do not hate Mr. Trump personally, for I permit no one so much control of my soul that I would hate him or her. It is in everyone's interest that he do well and right. But have a plan A, B, C, and D, just in case.

I hope for the best, my dear.

It can't hurt to have a plan B in the back of your hand.
