Heute vor 15 Jahren wurde Bitcoin eine Währung/ 15 years ago today Bitcoin became a currency

Die Bitcoin-Community feiert den 15. Bitcoin Pizza Day.

The Bitcoin community is celebrating the 15th Bitcoin Pizza Day. Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas with 10,000 BTC – today that would be worth one billion US dollars.

On May 22, 2010, Bitcoiner Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas. The transaction went down in history as the most expensive pizza purchase in living memory.

The Bitcoin pioneer could hardly have imagined what this would trigger. Especially not that his two pizzas would be worth over one billion US dollars at the height of Bitcoin's price.

Hanyecz thus introduced an equivalent value into the BTC system for the first time. He thereby determined, completely arbitrarily, that two pizzas were worth 10,000 units of the cryptocurrency to him.

Afterward, he just had to find someone who believed him.

This, in turn, shows: money – whether in the form of BTC, euros, or US dollars – is a matter of faith.

What most people probably don't know: in Germany, it's even legal to pay your bills in apples, sheep, eggs, or other goods.

Only the taxes have to be paid in euros. 😉

A lot has happened for the valuation of BTC in these 15 years
From being to pay for the Pizza with 10000 BTC to now...
When one can start a chain of Pizza shops with that kind of money
surely some food for thought

Thanks for the wishes
Oh how I wish I had like 10000 BTC and if that were to be the case
not sure if any other asset class could give me better ROI than BTC and a handful of alts ;)

I also once had three bitcoins. If I had kept them, I would have been financially independent by now. But unfortunately, I didn't have the financial experience yet.

Oh! I am in the same boat. We learn along the way.
It would be nice if we connect via x or some other media if not discord.
Look like we may have quite a few things to share.

That's right, my friend, you always learn something new, especially in this world of cryptocurrencies, which is, let's say, difficult for those like me who are just starting out in this world, but the important thing is to know the most important details.

Wow, I've never heard of this before and it's amazing. And is there no problem with pricing? Is the price of eggs the same everywhere?

I wonder what this guy is doing now. I wonder if he has a few Bitcoins XD
