Die Christlich Demokratische Union (CDU), lange Zeit ein Gegner von Krypto, schlägt einen überraschend neuen Weg ein. Ihre Mission? Deutschland als den Kryptohub Europas etablieren.

Neue politische Richtung nach Wahlsieg
Die Kursänderung der CDU erinnert an die Versprechen von Donald Trump, der Amerika zur Bitcoin-Hauptstadt der Welt machen wollte. Auch Deutschland scheint nun vom Krypto-Virus besessen zu sein. Nach dem Wahlsieg am 23. Februar hat die Partei ihre Politik deutlich angepasst.

In der „Agenda 2030“, die bereits im Januar vorgestellt wurde, macht die CDU deutlich, dass sie ein günstiges Unternehmerklima für Krypto-Initiativen schaffen möchte. Bemerkenswert, denn noch vor einem Jahr plädierte die Partei für strenge Regulierungen um ‘self-hosted wallets’ und das Einschränken bestimmter Krypto-Transaktionen.

Steuerliche Vorteile für Investoren bleiben erhalten
Die pro-krypto Haltung ist auch im neuen Koalitionsvertrag spürbar, der am 9. April mit der CSU und SPD geschlossen wurde. Obwohl Krypto nur kurz erwähnt wird, gibt es dennoch Aufmerksamkeit für das Schließen von Gesetzeslücken rund um digitale Assets, den grauen Kapitalmarkt und Schattenbanken.

Für Krypto-Investoren gibt es zudem gute Nachrichten: Der steuerliche Vorteil bleibt erhalten.

Dennoch warnt die CDU, dass dieser innovative Kurs mit Verantwortung einhergehen muss. Die Verhinderung von Geldwäsche und der Kampf gegen kriminelle Finanzierung bleiben Schwerpunkte der Politik.

Deutschland entscheidet sich damit für einen nuancierten Kurs: Raum für technologischen Fortschritt, aber mit Blick auf Aufsicht und Sicherheit.

So entfällt künftig die Identitätsprüfung (KYC, „Know Your Customer“), der umfassende Datenabgleich sowie die Berichtspflicht, nach der DeFi-Plattformen oder Krypto-Börsen angehalten waren, Informationen über ihre Nutzer (etwa Identität, Transaktionen) an Behörden zu melden. Zudem hat das Justizministerium die „National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Unit“ (NCET) aufgelöst

While America is taking the lead in pro-crypto politics, this wind is now blowing through Europe as well.

The Christian Democratic Union (CDU), long an opponent of crypto, is taking a surprisingly new path. Its mission? To establish Germany as Europe's crypto hub.

New political direction after election victory
The CDU's change of course is reminiscent of the promises of Donald Trump, who wanted to make America the Bitcoin capital of the world. Germany, too, now seems to be obsessed with the crypto virus. Following its election victory on February 23, the party has significantly adjusted its policies.

In its "Agenda 2030," which was presented in January, the CDU makes it clear that it wants to create a favorable entrepreneurial climate for crypto initiatives. This is remarkable, because just a year ago the party advocated strict regulations on self-hosted wallets and restrictions on certain crypto transactions.
