11 Millionen tote Token: Krypto-Ausfälle 2025 auf neuem Höchststand
Der Krypto-Markt hat im vergangenen Jahr einen neuen Rekord aufgestellt: Nie gab es mehr gescheiterte Token. Laut einem Coingecko-Bericht stellten mehr als 11,6 Millionen Kryptowährungen den Handel wieder ein. Damit erreichte die Zahl der Token-Ausfälle den höchsten jemals für ein Jahr gemessenen Wert. Besonders stark betroffen: der Memecoin-Sektor.
Allein im vierten Quartal 2025 beendeten rund 7,7 Millionen auf GeckoTerminal gelistete Token den aktiven Handel. Als einen zentralen Auslöser nennt Lee den Markteinbruch vom 10. Oktober, an dem Krypto-Hebelpositionen im Wert von über 19 Milliarden US-Dollar innerhalb eines Tages liquidiert wurden.
Im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren zeigt sich ein deutlicher Anstieg. Während im Jahr 2024 rund 1,3 Millionen Projekte auf GeckoTerminal scheiterten, lag die Zahl 2021 noch bei lediglich 2.584. CoinGecko wertet einen Token als gescheitert, wenn er zuvor aktiv gehandelt wurde, inzwischen jedoch keine Handelsaktivität mehr aufweist.
Als Faktor dafür nennt der Bericht die stark gestiegene Anzahl neu emittierter Kryptowährungen. Die Zahl der auf GeckoTerminal gelisteten Token stieg von rund drei Millionen Ende 2024 auf etwa zwanzig Millionen Ende 2025.
Insbesondere der Start des Solana-basierten Memecoin-Launchpads pump.fun im Januar 2024 habe diese Entwicklung beschleunigt, da die einfache Token-Erstellung zu einer Vielzahl von Projekten mit geringem Entwicklungsaufwand geführt habe.

Um jedoch zu verhindern, dass Hive und dem Leo Token dasselbe passiert, werde ich ab Februar wieder anfangen, aufzupowern. Dafür werde ich 50 % meiner Posting Rewards und meine Zinsen aus Hivedollar nutzen.
Mein Ziel für dieses Jahr ist es, Hive wieder auf 20.000 und Leo auf 10.000 zu bringen. Allerdings spekuliere ich darauf, dass Hive und Leo noch kräftig nach unten korrigieren.

11 Million Dead Tokens: Crypto Failures Reach a New Record in 2025
The crypto market set a new record last year: Never before have there been so many failed tokens. According to a CoinGecko report, more than 11.6 million cryptocurrencies ceased trading. This represents the highest number of token failures ever recorded in a single year. The Memecoin sector was particularly hard hit.
In the fourth quarter of 2025 alone, approximately 7.7 million tokens listed on GeckoTerminal ceased active trading. Lee cites the market crash of October 10th as a key trigger, during which leveraged crypto positions worth over $19 billion were liquidated in a single day.
This represents a significant increase compared to previous years. While around 1.3 million projects failed on GeckoTerminal in 2024, the number was only 2,584 in 2021. CoinGecko considers a token to have failed if it was previously actively traded but now shows no trading activity.
The report attributes this to the sharp increase in the number of newly issued cryptocurrencies. The number of tokens listed on GeckoTerminal increased from around three million at the end of 2024 to approximately twenty million at the end of 2025.
The launch of the Solana-based memecoin launchpad pump.fun in January 2024, in particular, accelerated this development, as the ease of token creation led to a multitude of projects requiring minimal development effort.

My personal conclusion:
Well, it's about time the useless projects were finally weeded out.
However, to prevent Hive and the Leo token from suffering the same fate, I will start raising my stake again in February. I will use 50% of my posting rewards and the interest I earn from Hivedollar for this purpose.

Well, my friend, some less solid projects need to disappear, and at the same time, others should enter the market. Regarding the price of HIVE and LEO, I hope they can rise a bit until they reach a level that's beneficial for all of us who trust in these projects.
Ich traue mich bei Hive überhaupt keine Prognose mehr abzugeben, vom Gefühl her scheitert er leider auch, ich hoffe dass ich mich da täusche.
Ja das sehe ich auch so. Die neuen Spiele auf Hive haben nicht den erhofften Erfolg gebracht deswegen ist meiner Meinung nach auch die Nutzung der Blockchain stark gesunken.
Mal sehen was in den nächsten 4 Jahre geschieht , das Geld welches ich investiert habe schreibe ich Mal lieber gedanklich als Verlust ab...😓
