Agreed... to a degree.
A large part of the Hive population tend to be absolutely terrified of anything that resembles "centralized," but it becomes an extreme polarity that ignores/forgets the positive benefits of centralized systems. Very few things are 100% bad/evil. To put it differently, we don't need to re-invent the wheel, just make a better wheel...

oh totally, its all about balance. I'm just pointing out that once you have a centralized aspect, this might be great for marketing, but will complicate security and privacy... but I totally understand where you're coming from.
Now we're getting outside the box, lot of people get scared out there. Re-invention is necessary and as you have pointed out, those buzz words cause confusion and commotion. I like the 'lite' account idea and should be expanded on. Hell, built even. If only I knew a good dev that would do that. It's been in the void from screams for awhile and it is pretty sad that Ecency or PeakD hasn't done such a thing.
