RE: Ledger password manager: reliable account security

After everything that has happened with Ledger recently can you really still trust them with a password manager? As has been proven by their own software, secrets can be released from the hardware wallet itself, and Ledger has included the software to do so.

So far, I have not heard of a theft from this wallet. There is a lot of panic and misinformation on the Internet. I myself often succumb to it. You have asked a difficult question. In short, I don’t trust Ledger 100% anymore. However, I will continue to use it, for now, at least. Secrets can be revealed in Ledger X, I only have Ledger S)). More credible Trezor, but he does not support the Hive. In any case, it is better to use a hardware wallet than to enter the keys in the browser. Also, I'm not 100% sure about the security of browser extensions. In general, the situation is not simple: technological security, combined with user convenience, is not at the highest level.
