RE: A sunny walk in the park

What a refreshing spring walk ... I can just smell the trees, the flowers, and the garlic!

A word about the local honey: if your beekeepers are wise, they will not keep bees near that rhododendron bush, or around their azalea cousins ... while the bees love the flower, and the nectar is quite sweet, it is also poisonous to humans, and rhododendron honey is the most common way humans die from it, all the way back to the army of Pompey!

Delicious, and DEADLY ... one spring I was taking a walk in the park the day after a rain, and tall rhododendron bushes were literally raining nectar on me. It was quite sweet, and I wondered the same thing you did about honey ... but then looked it up. NOPE.
