Twitter's New Reading Limit Policy

Since the take over of Twitter by Multi Billionaire Elon Musk, it has witnessed changes in its policies. From paid verification to a 10k character limit per tweet. Twitter keeps on evolving and now with the latest policy, new users will be able to access only 500 tweets per day.

The new reading limit policy is reported to underwent numerous changes in just a few hours. At first the limit was set to 300 posts per day for the new unverified users, 600 posts for unverified accounts, 6k posts for verified accounts and with the second revision, the limit was increased, where the new unverified user can read only 500 tweets per while an old unverified user can read up to 1k tweets per day and lastly a verified user can access 10k tweets per day.

According to Elon Musk,

To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:

– Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
– Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
– New unverified accounts to 300/day

Most businesses and users who currently don't have a verified accounts are against the policy due to the new limitations and people are complaining about not being able in viewing their own tweets while according to a few other users this new regulation could hurt Twitter directly by limiting the reach of a tweet.
