Today I'm delighted to share with you my recent sewing project of my dress I wore to church on Sunday with this unique fabric I got actually that was not the purpose of going to the market that day but this fabric catch my attention and I don't have any choice then to get it and the outcome was really nice and lovely.

measurement needed for the style

shoulder 14
bust 35
wasit 28
half length 15
under bust 29/13
empire line 24
hip 36
See
Sleeve length 14
Round sleeve 12/10
full length 47

let's get started with the processing quick

starting with the horizontal part from the shoulder line to the bust line to underbust line to hip line and the full length.
moving to the vertical path I divide my shoulder by 2 and other parts were divided by 4 bust, underbust, wait and hip cut and place it on already flooded fabric for the back block and I add 2inches of the zipper allowance. For the neck so far making simple pencil gown I thought of creating this neckline for the dress so to bring out the beauty of the outfit and make it unique

Neckline details

IMG-20250630-WA0000.jpg

for a start I use mine standard measurement neckline width of 3inches and depth of 3inches after that I come down by 2inches then I Mark 1inches outward after the the round neckline I create first and I make a straight down to the point and connect to the round area like a triangle shape and do twice of
the same shape and the distance between it is 1.5inches then connect like a round shape to the 3inches I make form my chest line and for the back neckline I used width of 3 and depth of 1.5 then cut it out. for the facing of the neckline I cut out another fabric due to the fabric I'm working with is few.

Take it to the sewing machine to sewn the facing to the mean body of the front and back dress pick the daft for the front and back and shaped the dress fix in the sleeve and zipper.
