DIY: cutting and sewing process of this dress for my queen
Hello hive
Happy New Day to all my beloved friends and the beautiful people of this needlework community.
I believe it’s not only from your family your pastor your friends your College that you can acquire knowledge from it come in different dimension and in different ways you can get ideas from and it left for you to put it in check and see whether if you give it a try it’s going to work or not.
I have someone in my area that we have been discussing on this imagination with.He doesn’t believe in the power of imagination he said imagination can never come to reality yeah I don’t understand his perspective.
Yeah, imagination can be manifested. You think you have an idea in the mind, you create any number of possibilities of images in the mind to represent the idea and then you make it, or manifest it. That is how creativity works.
I have learnt from reading book that imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and
Imagination dose not just work like a plane or jet it’s process that you need to put in place
Turning Imagination into Reality
- Set Clear Goals for Making a Dream a Reality. The first step in turning your imagination into reality is to set clear goals. ...
- Take Action to Make Dreams a Reality. ...
- Stay Focused. ...
- It's Time to Collaborate. ...
- Believe in Yourself. ...
- Practice Visualization. ...
- Embrace Failure. ...
- Taking Risks.
With all of this in place it all helps our creativity. Sometimes we have to creatively picture what we want to make in our head first before we put them down as an illustration in paper. Most fashion design task comes from imagination and top designers know the benefits of this.
Each time I make an outfit I used to consciously imagine what the outcome will be like before I start cutting or sewing
…….
Details on how I cut and sew this dress
First thing first I folded the Ankara fabric into two and input the basic measurements for half waistline for the front block and cut it and placed it on another folded fabric to cut back the little different i added 1.5 for zipper allowance.
Move to the flare using her waist circumference and the length of the dress and also cut the lining the same way I cut the main cloth
Stitches process
I start with turn of the neck and sides after that I give it a good press input the daft and join the shoulder, shape the sides and attach the flare zipper and sleeves
