From Wild To Cage; The Animals Journey
Recreational parks are designed for leisure, recreational activities offering entertainment and environmental aesthetics and it also benefits the cities economically. When it comes to the zoos and wildlife recreational parks, it has been a long source of entertainment, conservation and education.
It serves as conservation in the sense that, if the zoo and wildlife is well taking care of, generations to generations would definitely make use of it, and educative in the sense that adults and children usually go to zoo to have fun and learn about wild animals, if a city has a good zoo and wildlife it will sure enable tourism, people from far and near would definitely troop in and out just to take of view of animals that only available to see on our screens.
Honestly zoos really play a very important role in our society today especially in conservation, imagine a roaring lion that has lost his way due to climate change or deforestation roaming about on the streets or in our nearby bushes and farms, now that wouldn’t be nice at all, zoos most times really helps to keep these wild animals safe, the zoo serves as a santuary to keep both the animals safe and also to keep humans safe from the wild animals.
Some years while I still in grade school, I remember vividly welll how we were told that we were going for an excursion, and it made me really happyx because, I was going to see different wild animals for the first ever, when got to the place it was more of like a recreational centre, they were so many things, from ancients cooking pots to trees that have lasted for hundred of years. They started off by showing us different animals, like a fox, A very old and giant tortoise, they showed us monkeys and baboons, I saw a crocodile, It was also the first time ever that I saw an ostriches egg, that egg was so big.
In that zoo they also has a very big python but according to them they just fed it so it went under the water to relax, that zoo didn’t really have animals like lions or tigers but I bet you it was one of the best days of life, I got see different types of animal that I could never of have thought of seeing because I love being adventurous.
We all know that the wild animals belong in wild but I don’t think that 100% better off there because they’re not really secured over there, the wild is also full of threats like poaching, in my country tortoises are being killed not necessarily because of the meat because of their shell, it is often used in traditional medicine, I washed a video online where electric eel is being used in curing illness like stroke, the patient has to hold the eel tightly untill it has no breath in it again.
And to be sincere, caging could be a good thing for them with strict conditions if the actual goal is for conservation and education but if not then thats called exploitation.

Thanks For Reading💫
Glad you pinpointed the part of exploitation as well, as it isn't a good reason to cage these wild animals.
Not at all my friend, if exploiting is there real reason for caging those animals then it’s not good at all
You are right, Zoos may not be perfect, but they help protect animals from harm and also educate people. It’s all about the intention behind keeping them.
Yeah, and I really hope that, that’s their only intention
Mine is just that these animals should be very well treated/taken care of and not just kept to entertain..
Thanks for sharing.
