The Morning That Changed Everything.
I just finished my college and I've been roaming around looking for a job and this has been a lingering sense that my dreams were slipping away.
But this morning felt somewhat different, like something like the air had a spark or something. So I went to the kitchen taking my usual coffee and my phone rang on the counter.
At first I ignored, probably it might be another spam call, but it kept on ringing after I got the first call. So with a sigh, I grabbed the phone and saw an email from s company that I went for interview weeks ago.
It was like a small publishing house, and that has been the place I've dreamt of working for since I was a kid. At first, my heart skipped as I opened, expecting another polite, "we have gone with another kind of thought, we are sorry, we cannot have you".
But instead, this word hit me like a wave, and I saw, congratulations, "we are thrilled to offer you the position of a junior editor". Oh, I was surprised, I froze while I was reading the email. My hands were trembling.
This wasn't just a job, it was the job, the one I've poured my heart into. All my late nights, my early mornings, all this amounts to me getting this job. This is a job that could turn a child's story into a career.
At that moment, tears rolled out of my chin.
This kind of that bubbles up when you can't believe your luck. I kept on dancing around the kitchen. My coffee, I forgot, shouting, yes, mama, I finally made it. The weight of months of that day lifted, replaced by a lightness that I haven't felt for years.
So I was excited. I have to call my mom, and with tears of joy she told me congratulations. For me this was not just a job offer. This is a proof that my persistence, my late nights later paid off.
I'm so happy. And my refusal not to give up finally paid off. In the evening time I sat on the couch still clutching to my phone, just imagining the future. Right now i'll be editing books, i'll be helping other artists bring up their stories to life and i'll be living my dream. The dream that carried me away since I was 10.
For me I would say the struggle has not been easy, but the struggles were also a stepping stone towards this moment. That morning I learned something simple but profound. The best news often comes when you least expected. It so after the hardest days.
Please keep believing even when the path feels endless. Do you know that life has a way of surprising you and sometimes just one phone call can change everything. Just one email can change everything. So just hold on to your dreams keep believing becaus.
Just one faithful morning you might just hear that news that lights up your entire world. Thank you.
