CAPTURING MEMORIES: A SPECIAL DAY AT THE PHOTO STUDIO FOR MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY SHOOT

Today, I'm here to share with you all the beautiful experience we had at the photo studio when we went to the photo studio to take birthday pictures for my husband. So, on a normal day, it will be difficult to get my husband to go to the studio to take photographs but he had to concur because we needed to take a picture of our son that we will enlarge and frame for our living room. The pictures he has been taking weren't good enough for enlargement but he's grown and he can strike some pose. We had to use his birthday as an opportunity to go to the photo studio as a family to take the pictures.

We decided to choose blue as the colour theme of our outfits - my husband and my son made their outfits from the same fabric and made the same design. The name of the fabric they used is called cashmere and I love how sleek the fabric feels. My own dress was made using mikado fabrics and some bow were made using ribbons. I shared the process of making the dress in my previous post where I promised to share the full pictures. I got quite a number of compliments at the studio - and of course I was able to get some new customers who will be willing to trust me with making beautiful and classy dresses for them.

The studio was quite busy by the time we got there, so we had to sit down and wait for our turn at the lobby whilst we enjoy the good music and ambience. After waiting for about 30 minutes or thereabout, we were informed that it was our turn and the photo shoot session began immediately. The photographer was quite helpful with some poses. I may not have been able to come up with great poses if not for his cue. Well, I'm sure that's one of the qualities of a good photographer - to be able to carry his client along throughout the session.

We took so many shots from different angles and positions, so when we were done we had to go to the reception to meet one of their staff who will show us the pictures on a laptop and we will choose the ones we want. The process was quite tricky because you would be confused on which to keep or delete. The pictures were all beautiful that we could have chosen all but the price was on the high side. It was too expensive, so we had to select few. Afterwards, we made payment and we were told that the pictures will be sent to us the next day via WhatsApp.

I'd advise anyone that wishes to go for a photo shoot either for a birthday or wedding ceremony or any event whatsoever to have his or her budget planned out in advance. This is important so that you would not overspend. It takes a lot of discipline to be able to narrow down the pictures down. Why did I say that? The photographer was intentional about taking beautiful photos and he took it in large numbers. So, if you're not disciplined (financially) you may break your bank to pay for those pictures.

At the end of the day, it was a beautiful day filled with so much laughter, music, poses, and camera flashes. We hope to do it again soon.
