Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge - Cards Going OLD?

Hi there HIVE-bees and splinterbuddies! Welcome welcome to my blog once again! March heat is on earth and the summer indication is going strong! wew! Really getting hot now! you might be planning something cool nowadays right fellas? I hope you success and happiness to your planned activities! I am joining this Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge regarding old cards that are currently not that much being utilized since new cards are filling the game ecosystem. Well obviously of the new cards are getting much more popular and of course gaining a high chance of victory in battling. Another thing to note is that new cards also possess new abilities which is a great source of entertainment in the form of making changes to your usual card combinations. With this challenge, I will Present Legionnaire Alvar as it is one of great tank that can negate magic damage and debuff melee attackers.

Your Chaos Legendary Neutral Warrior

Coming from the neutral splinters, a legendary card that posses a great tank characteristics with its high def and abilities such as void armor, it can easily station its self on front lines negating and absorbing attacks head-on. Deathblow and Giant Killer abilities are also present in its skills that can be a great use in attacking and removing opponent in the field. Also, that Demoralize skill is a useful blow to all its melee attacking opponents. This card is balanced in my opinion but rarely used in the field nowadays. But it is still one of the great cards for even in the lower level and medium to high mana capacity for me.

If you plan to rent this card, this is the current price rent right now. Gold foils are expensive so I am not gonna show it. The rental for this price is low compare to the other cards that are experiencing boost on their prices. So if you plan to start your journey in splinterlands, you should use cards that are currently rented in low price but can be usable in battle field like Legionnaire Alvar. If you want to start owning cards, you can also buy it in the market. But you should be aware that almost everything in splinterlands price climb up since the Survival Mode entry in the game.

Battle Sample

Rulesets:

• The battle sample provided Aimless, Tis But Scratches and Explosive Weaponry in the rulesets. The mana capacity is 46 which i think lay between medium to high mana capacity battle and Water and Earth splinters absence in the battle. With this condition in the battlefield, i think Legionnaire Alvar is fit to fight.

• I am putting Legionnaire Alvar in the Dragon Splinters Team that back up by life Splinters. The card is in front of course playing the role of tank and followed by Venator Kinjo and Soul Fiend. My Team was Summoned by Lily Shieldpaw that boosted health and can back heal and got the Camouflage ability. Lets just see how it will affect the ruleset since Aimless is present. My main damage dealers mostly possess Magic Damage are Chaos Dragon, Night Reaper and Doctor Blight. This cards are my mostly part of my main team when playing for the reason that they can boost my offense wgratly. Adding to the skills they posses, this cards for me are best one to join the team that you are building. But don't mis interpret me, most cards in splinterlands got their own strength and vice versa. You just have to explore and see for yourself will suit you best.

The Battle:

I am going against Fire Splinters and I am having more Maxed cards than my opponent. I think this will be a good battle since Explosive Weaponry is present and i placed cards that can negate that with Deflect skill. Let us see what happens.

Round 1 is already an actin packed battle that already removed cards in the battle field. Void Armor is showing its usefulness for Legionnaire Alvar as it is even saving its life to the magic dealers. Take note that Scattershot is making Camouflage useless in this battle. Attacks are aimless aside from the tanks.

Round 2 is where i can assume that i won. Legionnaire alvar fallen in this round but it already did it part to the fullest and also provided a great deal of damage to the next cards after the tank with Explosive Weaponry's presence. Because Legionnaire Alvar also posses a good amount of melee damage.

• Cards that gotten old in splinterlands and being changed by new generation of cards cannot be forgotten. As long they are not restricted in the gameplay or battleplay, you should always give room to them for usage. We just need to find a good combination or tactics for them as their battle mages.
