With New Year's almost upon us, a few songs that hint at new beginnings!

Sting - Brand New Day

Sting is singing about recovering from a heartbreak, but it also can work for any new beginning! Man, and say what you will about Sting, he can write a catchy song.

John Lennon - Just Like Starting Over

Lennon was about to restart his career again, but he had also finally banished some demons in his life and that freeing feeling made him feel like life was starting over again. It works as a New Year's song, as we will all be starting over in a sense soon!

Vera Lynn - We'll Meet Again

I know the WWII association with this song is hard to shake, but is it really a New Year's song in disguise? I mean, in a sense it's not really that different from Old Lang Syne. Then again, at least for me, the sarcastic usage of this song to close Dr Strangelove is even more unshakeable that the WWII one. Ah well, whatever the case may be:

Bonus: Weird Al - New Years Eve Polka

This may be the greatest New Years song ever.
