Hello all! The quarter century year continues, down one month! And… America is still in one piece. So that’s good. And it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

[note: I actually wrote this post 14 hours ago at the beginning of my day. I scheduled it to post, but it didn’t. Fun! So I’m posting it now. Some of the figures in here might be a bit out of date now, but oh well.. they’re close!

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 201.65, bringing me to 42625.28 total Hive Power. That’s 71.0% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 42625.28 gives us 17374.72. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 52.3 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point. Last week it was 51.8. So….. we are still losing ground. I should work up the exact number of Hive I need each week to reach the goal. But until then, I’m still falling behind. Oh well. Will do better this week!

And there we go, I have now reached my BRO goal. Woohoo! Finally, after 3 years or so, I’m a BRO dragon. Now to see if I see any benefit to paying all this money, besides the upvote. From here on I’ll be waiting for @raymondspeaks to make me a multi-millionaire.

I don’t really have another token I want to buy into enough to set goals. I’ve always liked ARCHON. Recently @ecoinstant brought it back to life and what’s more is giving the token an interesting utility. Read about it here. So I may pick up more of it. There are a few more I’m watching, but nothing I’m ready to heavily invest in.

Maybe I’ll just work on buying more SBI. I am number 13 on the rich list there, but is is a project that I believe in and I could always use more. Or maybe I’ll just focus on powering up HIVE to help me ready that 60k.

Wow, it was a great week for silver! Finally!

Here is an interesting looking coin that I came across today:

Why a monopoly coin? I guess as the US makes it more obvious they are controlled by the rich, maybe this old game is becoming popular again? You know, Monopoly is one of those games that you never actually read the rules; usually a relative tells them to you and you learn from there, assuming you know it all. I never realized the actual rules were if a player doesn’t want to buy a property then that property gets auctioned to all players. Wow! That makes games actually faster than the hours it can take without that rule.
