Hello all! Another week and it’s time again to do another #myhivegoals post, a series idea started by started by @jongolson. This also doubles as my weekly progress report for #saturdaysavers, which is a fun little group that tries to motivate everyone to save and reach their goals. I’m going to look at the progress I’ve made on my Hive goals, as well as give a few tokens I’m looking at right now. If you are here for the comment SBI giveaway, well, we’ll get to that too.

Let’s start with my Hive goals.

Hive & HBD

My current goal is 60k Hive.

Last week I made 167.9, bringing me to 42423.63 total Hive Power. That’s 70.7% of my goal!

Math time. 60k - 42423.63 gives us 17576.37. Divided out by the days till the first of next year, we get 51.8 Hive needed per day to reach 60k by that point. Last week it was 51.3. So… you see, I’m falling behind. While I have been powering up everyday, it’s not very much. I got one power-down payment last week but almost immediately powered it right back up. I just got a second one yesterday. I was tempted to try to trade the small HIVE pump with it, but I decided it wasn’t enough to bother with fees. I’ll keep holding it liquid for a few days, but may just power it right back up as well. That in mind, so far this power-down has been kind of worthless. But I don’t think I’m going to cancel it. The Chinese New Year is this Wednesday—we’ll see if that gives us any kind of a boost.

Second Layer Tokens

While HIVE I haven’t put much money in, BRO is a different story. This past week I purchased 275.765 BRO, putting me ever so close to my goal of 1000. I would never have done that under normal prices, but as I pointed out in a post a few days ago, BRO was cheap last week because of some dumping whales.

I’ve been working up to 1000 for the past 3 years, so I’m happy to get so close. I am very tempted to just throw money at buying the final 45.6 I need to get over the hump, but I will instead try to wait to see if anyone takes my buy orders this week. The price is still somewhat low, but it has recovered a bit since my post.

Silver

The silver chart for last week shows us a nice uptrend for the week. Will it keep going?

Here is a good looking coin that I came across today:

It’s a little busy, but overall it is nice. Pick it up here. Actually they have a lot of silver items on sale for Valentine’s Day. I really like the Mickey and Minnie coin, but it’s a bit too expensive.
