It's Hive Power-Up Day! for July 2023
Another Hive Power-Up Day is upon us! We are into July already! This year is going fast...
Let's do a few things in this post. 1) Talk about Hive Power-Up Day 2) Talk about my power-up 3) Hold a giveaway! (I'm sure you'll all like this part)
What is Hive Power-Up Day? Let's get a brief intro out of the way for any of you who may be unfamiliar with the day.
Hive-Power Up Day (HPUD) is when we all power-up some hive. Pretty simple. Powering up has many benefits, such as increasing your vote and your stake in this platform. Increasing your vote is my favorite one. Having a larger vote means you can reward people more, giving more than a few pennies (or a fraction of a penny for newer accounts). For those who are less inclined towards altruism, having more Hive Power also means you will receive more curation rewards—i.e., more money.
Although we can, of course, power up on any day of the month, HPUD serves as a communal initiative that not only motivates us to power-up but also to feel part of a larger, supportive community
HPUD uses UTC time, so it started about 15 minutes ago as of this posting. It's a bit after 9am on the 1st Japan time, and I think a little after 8pm the day before on the east coast of the US and just after midnight UTC. Navigating time zones can be tricky. To avoid any confusion and to make extra sure, this is my favorite time zone conversion site. Or you can also go to the Hivebuzz page, login, and they will show you a countdown clock.
If you have at least 10 Hive which you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. Furthermore, if you are under level 70 then you might get some big rewards for powering-up as well, like a lot of Hive in delegations. Alas! I'm over level 70, so no rewards for me. But it's ok, I enjoy supporting the platform.
I've powered-up 200, which is a bit higher than the past few months, but lower than the few before that. However, I've also been powering up around 5-10 Hive everyday for HPUM (Hive Power-Up Month), which adds another 150-300 Hive. Hmm... still not as high as I'd like. I'd really like to get back to my 1000 Hive power-ups. Well, the only answer there is to get more upvotes on my posts. Any volunteers to help me out on that?
Quickly, let's see where that puts me on my road to 25k Hive Power. I'll save the detail for my Hive Goals post in a few days, but we'll take a quick peak. After this power up, I stand right at 16,238.03. That's 65% of my goal.

I have been powering up LEO every month for the last couple of months as well which makes it even harder to get funds ready. I need to look for a few more different ways to get funded🧐

I have struggled to do much on Hive these last few months but did want to power up today and have already done so. Since I'd been meaning to say 'hi' I thought I'd pop over here to see what you're up to and lo and behold you've given us the option to be rewarded. So, why not? Here 👇
And... I think I asked you this already (sumimasen!) but I wanted to check where you live (again! I think! I cannot work out how to search well on Hive and since I didn't write it down immediately--I was sure I would remember--I have forgotten where you said!).
After returning from our Aussie ski trip we're fuelled and excited by the idea of planning the skiing trip to Japan for Jan or Feb next year. And while I have no clue how hard it would be to visit you, we can't do it if we don't know where you are. Haha. (Of course, you might tell us to rack off and that you don't want visitors, but maybe you do?)

First, thank you! Your post was the one, what made me decide to look into that HBI and generally these 'curator', vote seller accounts. Well, kinda ironic even the 'whales' support them, meantime they say, it is not good, allowed... I change plenty things here from now.
