Today I bring you a new piece of art. I wanted to make a decorative 2D pendant inspired by elements from the card Franz Ruffmane using the quilling technique.

Hola a mis queridos Hivers y a la querida comunidad de artistas #Jewelry, como siempre muy complacida y emocionada de encontrarme por acá nuevamente, mostrándole mi trabajo hecho con mucho amor y especialmente para ustedes.

Un saludo para la comunidad de Splinterlands, y todos los que hacen vida por allí, estoy por acá para unirme al Splinterlands Art Contest.

Para hoy les traigo un nuevo trabajo de arte, quise realizar un colgante decorativo en 2D inspirado en elementos de la carta, Franz Ruffmane en la técnica de quilling.

To do this, cut some white cardstock with a paper cutter, some 5 mm wide strips or ribbons for quilling, and others 3 mm wide.

• I started by taking a 5 mm wide quilling strip. Using the needle, I rolled up the entire strip until I reached the end, removed it from the needle, loosened it a little, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to form an open circle. To make the charm I wanted, I made four identical open circles.


• Once the circles were ready, I began shaping them into drops, then I made a triangle-shaped fold in each one.


• Once all the circles were shaped, I proceeded to glue them together as you can see in the image, giving them a star shape.


• I took a wooden stick and cut it into four equal parts, glued them to the four sides of the star with extra-strong white glue, and let it dry thoroughly.

Para realizar este trabajo corte de una cartulina de color blanco con una guillotina de cortar papel, unas tiras o cintas para quilling de 5mm de ancho y otras de 3 mm de ancho.

• Comencé tomando una tira para quilling de 5 mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollé toda la cinta hasta terminar con la misma, saque de la aguja solte un poco, selle con pega blanca extra fuerte, para conseguir un círculo abierto. Para realizar el dije que deseo hacer llevé a cabo 4 círculos abiertos iguales.


• Listos los círculos inicié moldeando en forma de gota, luego le realicé a cada uno un pliegue en forma de una especie de triángulo.


• Moldeados todos los círculos procedí a pegarlos tal y como pueden ver en la imagen, dándole una forma de estrella.


• Tomé un palillo de madera y lo corté en cuatro partes iguales, los pegué en los cuatro lados de la estrella con pega blanca extra fuerte deje secar muy bien.

• Using the 3 mm wide white tape, I proceeded to make four open circles. I molded these in the same way as the previous circles.


• I glued these pieces to the tips of the wooden sticks with extra-strong white glue and let them dry thoroughly so that I could continue working the next day and prevent them from coming off or moving.


• I took a large jewelry ring and placed it on one of the points of the star.


• Apply several coats of bronze metallic paint, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.

• Con la cinta blanca de 3 mm de ancho, procedí a realizar cuatro círculos abiertos. Estos los moldee tal cual como los círculos anteriores.


• Estas piezas las pegué en las puntas de los palillos de madera con pega blanca extra fuerte deje secar muy bien, para poder seguir trabajando el día y evitar que los mismos se despeguen o se muevan.


• Tomé una argolla grande de bisutería, y la coloqué en una de las puntas de la estrella.


• Procedí a aplicar varias capas de pintura metalizada color bronce, dejando secar muy bien entre una capa y otra.

• I decorated the charm by adding some costume jewelry crystals.


• Using thick black snakeskin thread, I made a pendant. I folded it into two equal parts, placed a knot cap on the ends, a medium-sized costume jewelry ring, and a parrot beak clasp.


• Finally, I attached the pendant to the piece I had made earlier.

• And so we have finished this decorative 2D pendant, inspired by elements of the character from the card “Franz Ruffmane”.

• Decoré el dije colocando algunos cristales de bisutería.


• Con hilo piel de serpiente negro grueso procedi a realizar un colgante, este lo doblé en dos partes iguales coloque un tapa nudo en las puntas, una argolla mediana de bisutería y un trancadero pico de loro.


• Para finalizar, enganché el colgante de la pieza que realicé con anterioridad.

• De esta manera tenemos listo este colgante decorativo en 2D que elabore, inspirado en elementos del personaje de la carta "Franz Ruffmane".
