In some previous posts, I have been making decorative pendants for Christmas trees or other spaces in our home. Today, I am continuing with these decorations and leaving you with another multipurpose 2D decorative pendant made using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

En algunas publicaciones anteriores he venido realizando algunos colgantes decorativos para árboles de navidad u otros espacios de nuestro hogar, para hoy sigo con estas decoraciones, les dejo otro colgante decorativo multiuso en 2D en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

• I started by taking 3mm wide light yellow and orange quilling tape, joined them together to form a single strip, rolled it up with the needle starting with the orange and ending with the yellow, removed it from the needle, and loosened it slightly to form an open circle.

• Using the same parameters as above but with 4mm wide white tape, I made 6 open circles.

• I molded all the circles into leaf shapes, gluing the white ones in groups of two, then finished gluing all the groups vertically, until I placed the orange and yellow ones on top. This way, we have a candle ready.

• Comencé tomando cinta para quilling de 3mm de ancho color amarillo claro y naranja, uni ambas para formar una sola cinta, enrollé con la aguja empezando por la naranja hasta termina por la amarilla, saqué de la aguja solté un poco para formar un círculo abierto.

• Bajo los mismos parámetros anteriores pero con cinta de color blanco de 4mm de ancho, realicé 6 círculos abiertos.

• Moldee todos los círculos en forma de hojas, los blancos los fui pegando en grupos de dos, luego terminé de pegar de manera vertical todos los grupos, hasta colocar el naranja con amarillo en la parte de arriba. De esta manera tenemos lista una vela.

• Using 4mm wide red ribbon, I made 6 open circles, shaped them into leaves, joined them in groups of 3, and then glued them together to form a Christmas flower.

• Using dark green ribbon, I made 4 open circles.

• Using lighter green ribbon, I made 6 open circles.

• Con cinta de color rojo de 4mm de ancho realicé 6 círculos abiertos, moldee en forma de hojas, estos los uni en grupos de 3 y luego terminé de pegar, para formar una flor de navidad.

• Con cinta de color verde oscuro, realicé 4 círculos abiertos.

• Con cinta de color verde más claro, realicé 6 círculos abiertos.

• I proceeded to mold the dark green circles into drops, the light green ones into leaves, grouped them together, and glued them as you can see in the pictures.

• I joined all the pieces together.

• With light yellow tape, I made a small star, which I glued in the middle of the poinsettia.

• I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue to the piece to protect and laminate it, allowing it to dry between layers.

• We can attach the pendant of our choice, or if we want to use it to decorate the Christmas tree, we can attach a piece of transparent nylon or thread of the color of our choice. In my case, I used nylon.

This is how I finished this new 2D Christmas pendant using the quilling technique.

• Procedí a moldear los círculos verdes oscuros en forma de gotas, los verdes claros en forma de hojas, agrupe y pegué tal como pueden ver en las imágenes.

• Uni todas las piezas ya formadas.

• Con cinta de color amarilla clara realicé una pequeña estrella, la cual pegué en el medio de la flor de navidad.

• Apliqué varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte en la pieza para protegerla y plastificarla, dejando secar entre una capa y otra.

• Podemos colocar el colgante de nuestra preferencia, o si queremos usarlo para decorar el árbol de navidad, podemos colocarle un trozo de naylon transparente o hilo del color que deseen, en mi caso le coloque naylon.

De esta manera finalice este nuevo colgante de navidad en 2D, en la técnica de quilling.
