Today, I'm continuing with the theme of flowers that we can find in the different Super Mario Bros. video games. In previous weeks, I first made the Fire Flower, then the Cloud Flower, and this time I'm bringing you the Boomerang Flower in the form of a small decorative 2D pendant using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

El día de hoy continúe con la temática de las flores que podemos conseguir en los diferentes videojuegos de Súper Mario Bross. En semanas anteriores realicé en primer lugar la Flor de Fuego, en segundo lugar la Flor Nube, y en esta oportunidad les traigo la Flor Boomerang en forma de un pequeño colgante decorativo en 2D en la técnica de quilling.

• I began this project by sketching a small outline of the flower on a blank sheet of paper with a pencil to guide me through the creative process.

• I took 3mm wide white ribbons, which I had previously cut from white cardstock with scissors, and using the quilling needle, I rolled up the entire ribbon until I reached the end. I removed it from the needle, loosened it a little, and sealed it with extra-strong white glue to create an open circle.

• I then shaped this circle into a boomerang, as you can see in the image. I applied a little extra-strong white glue to the back and waited for it to dry. I did this so that it would not lose its shape or move.

• I took a piece of blue ribbon 3 mm wide and rolled it around one of the corners of the boomerang.

• Inicié este trabajo realizando un pequeño boceto en una hoja blanca con un lápiz de la flor, para guiarme en el proceso creativo.

• Tomé cintas de color blanco de 3mm de ancho, que corte previamente de una cartulina blanca con una tijera, con la aguja para quilling enrollé toda la cinta hasta llegar al final de la misma, saqué de la aguja, solté un poco y sellé con pega blanca extra fuerte, para conseguir un círculo abierto.

• Este circulo procedí a moldearlos en forma de Boomerang tal y como pueden ver en la imagen, le apliqué un poco de pega blanca extra fuerte por la parte de atrás y espere que secara, esto lo hice para que no perdiera la forma ni se moviera.

• Tomé un trozo de cinta de color azul de 3mm de ancho, enrolle en una de las esquinas del boomerang.

• To make the stem of the flower, take a 9 mm wide green ribbon and roll a piece around the needle until you achieve the desired size. Secure with white glue and remove from the needle. The stem of this flower is short.

• To make the leaves, I took 3 mm wide ribbon and made two small open circles, which I shaped into leaves.

• Once all the pieces were ready, I joined them together with white glue. I gave them plenty of time to dry so that they would be completely hard and there would be no risk of them coming apart.

• Para realizar el tallo de la flor tome cinta de color verde de 9 mm de ancho con la aguja enrollé un trozo hasta conseguir el tamaño deseado, sellé con pega blanca y saque de la aguja. El tallo de esta flor es corto.

• Para hacer las hojas tomé cinta de 3mm de ancho, procedí a realizar dos pequeños círculos abiertos los cuales moldee en forma de hojas.

• Listas todas las piezas procedí a unirlas con siguiente pega blanca, le di bastante tiempo para que secaran y quedarán totalmente duras sin riesgo de que se despeguen.

• At this point, I took a long-tipped needle for quilling, made a small hole in the top of the piece, and inserted a jewelry ring through it.

• I took pearl-colored paint and applied it to the boomerang-shaped piece without touching the blue stripe. I added some details to the stem and leaves.

• I made the eyes with black plasticine and painted a small light with white paint, then left it to dry thoroughly.

• To finish, I attached the flower to a thick black snakeskin thread pendant.

This is how I finished this boomerang flower from the Super Mario Bros video game in the form of a decorative pendant using the quilling technique.

• En este punto tomé una aguja punta larga tipo alfiler para quilling, realicé un pequeño hoyo en la parte de arriba de pieza por allí introduje una argolla de bisutería.

• Tomé pintura color perlada apliqué a la pieza en forma de boomerang sin tocar la franja azul, en el tallo y hojas apliqué algunos detalles.

• Con plastilina de color negro realicé los ojos y le pinte una pequeña luz con pintura de color blanca, deje secar muy bien.

• Para finalizar enganche la flor, de un colgante de hilo piel de serpiente gruesa de color negro.

De esta manera finalice esta flor boomerang del videojuego Super Mario Bros en forma de un colgante decorativo en la técnica de quilling.
