The former waiter told him that he had won a fortune in a casino and that he no longer had to work; Dennis amazed, felt a little sad but life had to go on.

Dennis did not spend much time at his house, there were even days when he did not see his daughter and wife since he left very early and arrived very late. This was a time-consuming job.

The day of rest arrived where he had a strong argument with his wife since she asked him for time and told him that she had neglected her family. They fought hard and he left the house for the whole day.

Already on the street, Dennis remembered the waiter's words and went to try his luck at the casino. He didn't bet much, just money that he could afford to spend.
Hours passed and Dennis was still in this place where I earn a good sum, he supposed; what if I quit my job and dedicate myself to this? thought our friend Dennis.

He returned home happy with his pockets full of money, but his wife and daughter were already asleep.

The next morning his wife, now more serene, spoke to him again, they apologized and her daughter gave him a hug and showed him a song that she played with her flute; but this would be the last day that he would see them in person without knowing it.

Dennis arrived at the restaurant where he argued with the employees about some food that was rotting in the warehouse and made the bad decision to resign and leave everything behind. In the midst of his anger he went to the casino where he was successful again and went with full pockets to his house again, but this time he arrived at dawn.

Thus they spent several weeks doing the same routine, so much so that in 15 days he did not see his family, knowing that they lived there with him, he only watched them sleep.

His wife couldn't take it anymore and he decided to leave the house along with his daughter, leaving him a letter where she explained her decision. The only thing he left was his daughter's flute so that she would remember what she had lost.

Dennis never found her wife, he spent a lot of money looking for her, and one day he lost everything about her in the casino, leaving him on the street since this vice had consumed him.

Dennis can sometimes be seen trying to play the flute on a city corner, where a mysterious woman brings him food from time to time. Dennis went crazy.

Dennis Watson era un hombre de mediana edad, muy exitoso; este vivía con su familia la cual se componía de su esposa y una pequeña niña que adoraba la música.

Él trabajaba en un restaurante donde lo administraba, este restaurante era muy exitoso debido a los platos tan exquisitos que vendían y que diariamente había música en vivo en las horas de la noche.

Un día se acerco un mesero donde Dennis y le presento la carta de renuncia, este asombrado le pregunto el porque ya que era uno de los mejores y ademas no le iba nada mal en el restaurante con su sueldo y sus propinas.

El ex mesero le contó que había ganado una fortuna en un casino y que ya no tenia porque laborar; Dennis asombrado se sintió un poco triste pero la vida debía continuar.

Dennis no pasaba mucho tiempo en su casa, incluso había días en que no vehia a su hija e esposa ya que salia muy temprano y llegaba muy tarde. Este era un trabajo que le absorbía el tiempo.

Llego su día de descanso donde discutió fuerte con su mujer ya que ella le pedía tiempo y le decía que tenia descuidada la familia. Peliaron fuerte y él se fue de la casa por todo el día.

Ya en la calle, Dennis recordó las palabras del mesero y se fue a probar suerte en el casino. No aposto mucho, solo un dinero que se podía dar el lujo de gastar.
Pasaron las horas y Dennis seguía en este lugar donde gano una buena suma, supuso él ;y si dejo mi trabajo y me dedico a esto ? pensó nuestro amigo Dennis.

Regreso para la casa feliz con los bolsillos llenos de dinero, pero su esposa e hija estaban ya dormidas.

A la mañana siguiente su esposa ya mas serena volvió a hablar con él, ellos se disculparon y su hija le dio un abrazo y le mostró una canción que tocaba con su flauta; pero este seria el ultimo día que las vería en persona sin saberlo.

Dennis llego al restaurante donde discutió con los empleados por unos alimentos que se estaban pudriendo en la bodega y tomo la mala decisión de renunciar y dejar todo tirado. En medio de su ira se fue para el casino donde tuvo éxito de nuevo y fue con los bolsillos llenos a su casa otra vez, pero en esta ocasión llego a la madrugada.

Así pasaron varias semanas haciendo la misma rutina, tanto que en 15 días no vio a su familia sabiendo que vivían allí con él, solo las observaba dormir.

Su esposa no aguanto más y decidió dejar la casa junto con su hija, dejándole una carta donde le explicaba de su decisión. Lo único que dejo fue la flauta de su hija para que recordara que había perdido.

Dennis nunca encontró a su esposa gasto mucho dinero buscándola, ademas un día perdió todo en el casino dejándolo en la calle ya que este vicio lo había consumido.

A veces se puede ver a Dennis intentando tocar la flauta en una esquina de una ciudad, donde una misteriosa mujer le lleva comida de vez en cuando. Dennis enloqueció.
