What’s Next After Tertiary Institution in Nigeria

This thought has always been on my mind as from the start that my secondary school mate are gotten admission that after the whole schooling where am I going to end up that's why finishing school in Nigeria is one thing, but what comes after is another big wahala. Many of us enter university with big dreams, thinking that once we graduate, life will just open door. But the truth is different. After graduation, the question always come what next?

As a university graduate you have to go for your NYSC, you must serve your country. But even during service, you can see the reality already. Small allowee that is not even enough to feed well, and many times poor condition in the place of posting. I must say some places are not even worth to be posted there But person go still manage, because that is part of the journey.

After NYSC, things go become more serious for us. Some graduates go go dey do teaching job, with peanut salary and while some go just dey job and it can be very frustrating. You go carry CV up and down, apply for different kinda job sometimes no reply, sometimes interview that go nowhere. Some go even say come with connection or bring money bla bla bla and before job can be given. This is one of the big problems in Nigeria.

Because of this, many graduates turn to hustle. Some start small business, some learn skill like fashion, baking, tech, and some move into online work. It is not easy but at least it give small hope. I also know some who travel abroad looking for greener pastures because they believe Nigeria is not giving them chance.

But still, make everything no be like say negative. Some people who are determined go find way no how no how, while some dey keep pushing, dey learn new things, dey connect with people, and one day then go breakthrough. It may not be fast, but it is always possible.

So what is next after tertiary institution in Nigeria? No 1 is survival and 2 go be self discovery. no go dey just wait for government job, hunger go kill you be that because those ones not even sure. It is to look for opportunity, to use your talent, to not give up.

And see situation is tough though, but graduates must be tougher. With patience, hustle, and hope, better days can still come.
