ZODIAC – The Zodiac Signs at Galleria Samonà

While walking in the city center a few weeks ago I stepped in front of a gallery, I gave a look as the paintings looked interesting but everything was closed and visible only from outside, kinda disappointing. While doing some researches online I found out that until September 21, 2025, Galleria Samonà in Padua hosted Zodiac, a series of works by local artist Tonirent, born in 1970, who has long been active in the Padua art scene, with a career that ranges from painting to street art.

As the name says itself it's a project that merges art and astrology through canvases, one for each zodiac sign, created using a bold palette and a spatula oil technique.

Libra and Scorpio

I really like the visual effect: forms, vibrant colors, and textured surfaces evoke the symbolic character of each sign.

Sagittarius and Capricorn

Sagittarius and Capricorn

It was confirmed that the works were visible exclusively from outside, a public art display, day and night.

Scorpio is definitely my favorite here, and yours?

Ok, jokes aside, first I saw the photos, then I read the post and without knowing what it is about, my pick was Libra.

.

At first glance I thought it's Wassily Kandinsky, who I love. It is similar, but I definitely pick Libra.

I won't hide it, the idea to make a post and photo them came from your posts 😅 since that exhibition is over next time I wonder what I will find there...

When I was searching the author I tried to use Google lens and it came out Kandinsky for libra and at first it tricked me, the style is similar... Seems like libra is the winner for now!
