The Hive Pizza Monthly Contest December 2025 Edition
Hello everyone and welcome back to a new monthly post of the Hive Pizza contest! The holidays are gone, we all ate like pigs, rested and now it's time to find a new user to help in its hive journey.
Today I’d like to introduce a new arrival in October 2025, @scristialara.
Sahilí Cristiá Lara is a writer, sociologist, and demographer born in 1989 in Camagüey, Cuba, a country I’ve always dreamed of visiting one day. She loves coffee, sunsets, and the scent of lilies. In her free time, she does a bit of everything: she enjoys learning new things, discovering history through photos of buildings, taking care of plants, volunteering with NGOs, traveling, reading, and writing... so a lot of things most of us must have in common. Oh, and she also makes traditional sweets, a passion passed down from her grandmother and mother, who doesn't love sweets?
From her profile we can see she is a teacher, not everyone can suit that work, it's not easy, requires effort and strength and I belive we need on the ball people for Hive.
For Sahilí, writing is a refuge, an intimate space from which to observe the world. She writes free-verse poetry and micro-stories that talk about society, intimacy, psychology, and also eroticism. In her texts, women are often at the center, which makes sense as women are generally under-considered, their emotions, contradictions, the solitude lived “in company”.
In one of her poems she writes:
I write because it is a way / to separate myself from what can / be vain and corrode...
and I think this sentence already says a lot about the way she sees writing.
She arrived on Hive thanks to @kpoulout, and I truly believe that here she can find the right space to share her voice and her stories. It is the first time I refer a writer, so I am curious to see how her trip here on Hive will proceed in the future.

Some try to say that downvotes are good for Hive but what good had come out of downvoting good honest people away 🤔
