Syria: attack by Islamic terrorists breaks through government defenses

The conflict in Syria is reigniting in the province of Aleppo. HTS militants supported by other extremist groups have started an offensive in the western part of the province. The motorway connection between Aleppo and Hama (and therefore Damascus) is interrupted because it is occupied by armed groups while the new western districts of the city are apparently under their control. A counteroffensive by the Syrian regular army would begin with the support of the Russian aerospace forces.
This resurgence of conflict does not appear to be a simple sudden flare-up, but given the composition, level of training and equipment (predominantly of Turkish origin) it could mark the beginning of a new cycle of violence in Syria.

In the last few hours the situation in northern Syria has degenerated. Islamist forces enter Aleppo, disorderly withdrawal of Syrian troops in the area who have abandoned deposits and equipment. Turkey is silent, the United States does not currently have an ambassador in Ankara, the West is always pleased with the anti-Russian Islamist advance in Syria (the Tartus base perhaps a primary objective), first images of beheadings by Islamists.

What is most impressive when observing the videos of the Islamist militias operating in Aleppo and northern Syria are their uniforms, their equipment, their way of moving: they are not amateurs and they did not find their materials in a ditch.
