Her name is Rosa Parks. He then makes the decision to sit down and alter the world one day. It is December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama. Rosa is exhausted from a hard day at work, but she feels more than just physical exhaustion. She can no longer stand to be considered a second-class citizen. Rosa thus objects when the bus driver tells her to give up her seat to a white passenger. A single "no" at that point sparks a revolution.

A quote of her from wikipedia:

They always say that I didn't give up my seat because I was tired, but that's not true. I wasn't tired physically, any more than I usually was at the end of a work day. No, the only thing I was tired of was suffering.

Martin Luther King Jr.'s Montgomery Bus Boycott, which is sparked by his arrest, would upend America's system of racial segregation. Rosa never considered herself a hero, but millions of others were motivated by her bravery to stand up for their rights and resist injustice.

On October 24, 2005, in Detroit, she passed away. Her commitment to the struggle for civil rights and the advancement of equality continues to inspire and impact people worldwide. She showed through her inner strength that even one person can upend the fundamentals of injustice.
