Please help with my orchid.
It’s the first time I’ve managed to keep an orchid alive beyond its original set of petals.
It is growing new big green leaves, and sending out shoots which at first I thought was going to stems, but it’s actually roots, I believe?
The thing is, they’re growing upwards. And even if I get a bigger pot, they will still be growing up, not down, so how do I water them? I believe I’m not supposed to get the crown wet, so I can’t just drown the whole thing.
It also is not sending up any new stems, and hasn’t since the summer - I assume that’s just because it’s the wrong season?
Any advice would be much appreciated. I’d do the biggest happy dance if I actually kept this plant alive long enough to see a fresh set of flowers.

Your plant looks perfectly fine. Those air roots will grow all over the place, as the plant is designed to be fine without any pot or soil whatsover. You can spray the entire plant, it won't hurt, just make sure not to have it sitting in water all the time or the roots will rot.

Oh the spray is a good idea, I haven't think about that! Thanks
