So I was walking around and randomly stepped into a pine, but the amazing was the size of the pine cones, I've never seen such a strange and long ones, they were like 30cm, so I grabbed some and brought them home

You have seen that before; you are just now paying attention. I used to ignore many familiar plants until I looked deeper and saw their benefits. Picea abies is one of my favourite conifers. lol.
