When Animals Become the Judges

I haven't really thought about it. Perhaps I did a few times while younger or maybe when I watched some animation centred around animals. Now, I can't help but wonder what some of these animals think of us as humans. Especially when we engage in arguments or whatever they find weird. What do they really say or feel about it all?

This makes me wonder what Kally the dog thinks about in such situations, and what he tells his buddy from the next compound whenever they meet. Maybe he goes back and forth complaining about how my brothers and I forget to serve him food early sometimes how he feels loved by my parents alone. I think so now that I think of it.

What of Sally the cat, what does she think in her proud esteemed mind? Maybe she complains about how we sometimes step on her space, making it unclean even when we knew she was a glamorous animal that hates dirt and filth anywhere as close as two feet near her. The long stare sometimes when she sees me coming now begins to make sense. Perhaps, if only she could speak.

I think they must have laughed at us on some occasions. Like the day we cooked and well, there were some hitches. I guess they laughed in their individual corners, with comments like “He thinks this is like his writing of a thing. Always on the phone doing what we don't know, now see what they did.” That would be hilarious. I think they didn't appreciate the “wonderful” meal. Haha.

What could they be thinking or saying the day we argued over football? Probably they had their joyful moments and were laughing about it. If not, why was the dog wagging its tail? Why was the cat watching with all interest from the spot where it lay? Now, it dawned on me that this might be the case though I didn't care to notice. I bet they had a good time with such occurrences. Good for them.

Or maybe, they were infuriated by the conversation. The argument could have possibly pissed them off. And they just wanted it to be over. Maybe that was the dog barking. Or why the cat was walking up and down in the midst of it. I think they had a feeling about it. One that I would like to understand clearly. But I think they have their thoughts on these things.

The cat and the parrot would be the most judgmental and expressive naturally respectively, I'll say. Think of the cat, and you see a “proud,” “feel good” animal. Maybe after the peacock. It shows in the character of the cat and I feel this could be consistent with its judgment. The parrot is there as one expressive animal, afraid not to speak, since it can “speak.” Yes. This makes it find that expression somehow.

It's a beautiful imagination about the possibility of animals imagining things and having conversations concerning human actions or endeavours. Just like we have our talks and thoughts with regard to them, they could be doing so. The dog could be saying this or thinking this, the cat as well, and all the others. Perhaps, when we get to learn animal language and emotions, we'll understand better. Well, let me go and have a conversation with Kally and Sally.
