There's Always A Lesson
Do things just happen? No, I don't think so. Even if they do, do they just happen and end like that? I think there's more to anything that happens if we'll be careful to look intricately into the inner details or see the bigger picture. The point isn't about chasing the matter trying to quell the fire. It also doesn't mean sitting back and enjoying whatever good show life is putting on, and like with the movies, we're entertained, hormones are shaken, and that's all. I think beyond these all, there's always a lesson involved.
Back to my initial question, do things just happen? While this is not a universal acceptable statement, I consider, beyond many inconsideration that things do not just happen. To any action there's a force, reason that propels it causes it, I guess. The underlying point is, what caused it to happen and what was the intention of it happening? More personally, what was the point of that thing happening to me or him or her? Guess why I affirmed that things don't just happen, huh?
The discourse today isn't about things just happening or not, rather what happens when the things do happen; or don't? Ultimately, what lessons were picked from such an incidence, coincidence—be it fortunate or unfortunate, timely or untimely, right or wrong, good or bad? It's about building oneself to the point where every of life's occurrence is an addition to or subtraction from the wealth of knowledge already acquired.
This opens one up to the possibilities and opportunities to learn, relearn and unlearn. Life's lessons in the form of situations can make one see things to embrace and things to avoid, those to hold tight—or tighter to and those to loosen from, things to accept and things to debunk. I've learned in life to pick lessons as much as possible in everything, even if it meant a tiny bit. It will go a long way tomorrow when they get accumulated. It's about some sort of leverage on a matter and life as a whole.
Life will always be a great shocker, but I believe with the right approach one can develop some sort of absorbers. It shouldn't be heard or seen that what happened to someone and I was aware needlessly happened to me too. Of course, we can't control how things happen. That's true, very true, hence the mention of "needlessly" there. I consider that some needlessly happen because the small details that could be seen were not seen and articulated as what they are—lessons.
Acquiring these untaught unofficial lessons as knowledge can be a great deal; talk of gaining new perspectives and insights, broadening one's horizon, presenting one with untold opportunities, safeguarding one from the risk of uninvited harm. It goes a long way to prove how useful it is to continue acquiring the simple lessons of life. Sometimes, one may never get the opportunity for a second chance to do it right. Might be just one and that's all; opportunities passed, failures encountered, confusion present.
Life is a school, one that we never graduate from. Lessons in and from life tend to stick more than the official lessons received. So I've come to affirm highly that there's always a lesson to learn. It can be hard to figure out some of these little lessons; especially. It's about looking much more beyond the happening or the matter, and consider the drop or wealth of lessons to be gained in the form of knowledge.
Yes, something accounts for the happening of something, so, how about we figure out maybe, why did it happen, how did it happen, will it still happen, what will make it happen again, what could stop it from happening...? In all, it's about making situations and events count for something, at least. There's always a lesson!
