The Human Workers Or The AI Agents?
If I were to start a company-which I hope to one day-who would work for me; human or AI (Artificial Intelligence) agents?
Now, that's a tricky one. It's a question that could need some deep examination of the situation; what starting a company means first, and then the dynamics of work nature and environment, and the workers, especially in this age of high digital and technological revolution, one that the world hasn't yet experienced.
Years back, this wouldn't have made it to any conversation because AI wasn't a reality then. But now that it is, and much more even that it's involved in almost every facet of our lives and endeavours, the work aspect inclusive, this leaves a huge conversation and the big question of having AI work for a company in place of humans.
The inception of AI into the digital space and world of technology has been nothing short of an impactful game changer, clearly and largely advancing day by day. Today it's a fact that AI agents can be and are employed in the place of work. You then get to ask, why? Okay, there's speed, efficiency, the machinisation advantage, zero pay and other reasons out there one could find. But then, what does the running of a company entail?
Today, one of the most invested efforts into the company system is keeping customers happy and making them feel valued. This could be in services, duties, management and all. Profoundly, the AI system could fit in well and do a nice job, except when it comes to emotional aspects which it lacks the quality.
The AI system is more of a mechanisation, at least the way I see it. It gives only what it's designed and prompted to, dashing away the place of creative thinking and approach, and emotional quotient. Humans are creative and importantly, emotional beings. As such, having a system of workers that could well relate to that would be a plus for any company, since these services are in one way or another for the consumption of humans. Hence, the reason today, customer service is one of the key concerns of any company.
Perhaps, you could guess where I'm going with this. Well, what's my choice then? How about a harmony of the two, huh? Let the humans do the human things, and set the company on the right trajectory of direct human satisfaction, while the AI agents do the AI things for a greater level of productivity and output desired by the company.
Humans offer the creative and emotional resources needed for the success of the company. AI agents are there for the maximum efficiency and output a company would need to thrive.. I think a mix of the two, where they duly fit would mean well for the company envisioned. Come to think of it, if the AI-obsessed, invested and heavily involved individuals have humans still working for them, even for running their AI programs, why should I stick to AI alone then?
Exactly! Humans can effectively use AI for efficiency and more productivity. The two work hand in hand if you ask me.
Yes, they can. Have a harmony of the two, that way you explore their potentials altogether amd see your company thrive.
Thank you for your comment.
Working with AI can speed up time and I remember, my friend uses AI as his assistant. I think it's really great
Yeah, it's really great for speed and efficiency.
Thanks.
