Silver It Is
Hello there! It's good to have you come around. I'm glad to be sharing my entry for this wonderful contest organised by this beautiful community, which allows us to explore photography in a different vein. Hope you get to enjoy every one of the shots and the story along.
Silver is one colour you don't just see as a colour, maybe that's just me. But it has this sense of difference that makes it beyond just a colour. It's considered a reflection of grey. Silver in some way brings the feeling of modernity, sophistication and wealth. Hence, you find it used to portray the expensive nature of accessories today; silver watches, silver bags and the like.
Perhaps, this explains more why I mentioned that it doesn't come off with the natural feeling of a colour. We see it expressed in awards, medals and trophies. It's used in metallic and non-metallic cases. Something good about this colour is its ability to blend or pair with other colours, making it a good choice when it comes to designing. It provides a wide range of versatility especially when elegance is needed.
As much as this colour is found highly used in showcasing sophistication, wealth and elegance, it's also used in some basic things and household elements. Like the pots we use at home. Most of these pots are silver-like in colour, perhaps owing to the properties of the element that might pertain to heat.
There's the sink we find in the kitchen too. This is one object in the kitchen that one can surely say has always been of the silver colour. Maybe it's because of the nature of the material used, which is always found to be silver, like in the case of the pot above.
Then comes the last one; a silver colour shoe. The shoe looks very nice, and I give credit to the person who made it such. The shoe is a clear example of how elegance is portrayed when silver colour comes into the equation. You'll find it pairs well with the light brown colour used in some areas.
I guess it's okay to say that silver isn't just a colour, and rightly so. When we talk of silver, we talk of shine, elegance and sophistication. Some of its appearance in tools and utensils owes to its metallic nature. However, we find it doing the most in all cases.
