Not Useful, But Worth Keeping
With the advent and evolution of technology, gadgets will always be a thing. One more certain things is that they will always go through development and evolve as well. What we have as gadgets today and not same as years and years back. Let's say what we have as laptops today; I guess we all knew when it was mainframe computers. Such sort of computers that were large enough to make up a room. Then came a point it was desktops and then we have laptops today. And much more even, there are tablets, palmtops and our wonderful phones as well. It's a clear story of advancement and evolution with gadgets.
Gadgets are wonderful and essentials to our lives today. If for no good reason at all, everyone who has gotten accustomed to the digital world and technology age knows well that gadgets are a must to do with it. From simple to sophisticated ones, we have come to aquire several gadgets. And as time passes by—with evolution of new ones—we'll always want a taste of the new and supposedly better one. You'll agree that gadgets have made life simpler and easier, even in some of their complexities. From portable to large size ones, they've become a part of us today.
Yeah, a part of us. Through the use of some of these gadgets, we tend to become so accustomed and maybe attached to some that losing a grip of them doesn't seem possible to us. Even while these gadgets might not be serving totally or well enough, or are outdated, we still hold on to them due to some kind of attachment to it. So, we can't bring ourselves to throw them. This might be for the history we've had with these gadgets, or maybe they were special gifts we received or they just help us preserve that memory of something or an event. I tell you, letting of go these gadgets can be hard.
I've had my share of such experiences. One of such was a calculator I received during my school's Speech Day in the secondary stage of learning. It was my final class and I got it as a gift on that day. I was able to use it during my higher institution days. My course was one that required less calculation so I used it less. Friends did borrow it. There was a time it developed an issue, I had to fix it rather than throw it. Later on, someone got it spoilt again. It got returned to me and I can remember, I kept it somewhere hoping to repair it again. I don't even really know where it is now.
Another gadget I wouldn't let go is my previous laptop. At a time like this, it's very well considered as an old model. However, I would not let it go. It's currently not in use due to an issue it developed. I had kept it somewhere in the room. That laptop was a great help to me in higher institution, basically for the course I studied. It really did help me. I saw students who had not the privilege of owning one go through a lot so it remained cherished to me. It wasn't much of a great gadget but the help it rendered and stress it saved me was worth acknowledging, so I had to just keep it as a reminder. Maybe that will always remind and help me to remain grateful for my school days.

Technology has become the most important part of the world. I don’t think I can go a day without using my phone 😂. Aside from my phone they are lots of things we can’t do without technology.
That's true.
I get 😁. Had to go half of yesterday without my phone and it wasn't palatable because I had things to do with it.
And yes, that's it. Many things we surely need technology for.
