Handling The Writer's Block Problem

While writing can be a wonderful, passionate and skillful aspect of someone, the ability to deal with the lack of flow of ideas can be a big deal. Writer's block is one of those difficulties a writer—of any caliber and level can face. This simply happens when ideas fail to flow into something coherent enough to put up. At such times, a writer can get frustrated and devastated. It's certainly an unpleasant moment, especially when a deadline is lurking around.

Writer's block doesn't mean that the writer isn't putting up effort to write that content. Even with heated passion within a writer, he or she can simply lack the right thing to write. Not because they don't have what it takes to write on that particular thing, but because there's obstruction to their flow of ideas. At such times, the writer could be found struggling hard to bring up something, but then to no avail. Writer's block is one of the pains and difficulties of a writer.

Yesterday I wrote a post, and while writing it there was this continuous sweet flow of ideas that made it seamless and enjoyable. Every moment of my fingers striking the keyboard, the next was filled with what to put down already. It was a pleasant flow of ideas concurrently that within a short duration I was done. Not just done, but well done. At some points I had to cut some "overflowing" ideas to avoid creating a voluminous post.

Having an idea, specific topic, theme to write at an instant can be wonderful. How about when there's the block? When no matter how one tries, there's no topic, suggestion, idea forthcoming to write on. I've suffered such on different occasions, even while writing several posts on this blockchain. Having to struggle and eventually find something to write, gathering thoughts and ideas felt exhilarating. I felt like dropping some of such posts at the time. How then do I deal with this?

Something I've come to consider is to write mainly on what I'm okay with and could easily relate with. It's not about skipping every writing opportunity that I feel not much connected with. I pick out some and let go of some. Some other way I address this issue is going through other writer's content on same matter and find ideas on how to go about it. It has gone a long way to help me. I can remember how I got stuck trying to write some posts but on visiting that of other writers, I was able to find a leverage.

However, even with the most comfortable topics or ideas to write on, and the visitation of other writers' contents, writer's block can still persist. In such cases, I try to stay away from the writing task for the time being and get engaged with something. Maybe take a walk or just get some fresh air outside. It refreshes my mind and leaves my brain open now to good inflow of ideas. Some of my posts on this platform came as a result of this effort.

At some other points, I try to make some little research on the subject on ground to write on, or if the total idea of what to write isn't there even, I consult any AI medium for some options and helpful tips. The Meta AI has been my close companion on this matter and I've seen it help present me with ideas and focus to write on.

Dealing with writer's block can be —and is—a be big deal to any writer. Just like with life, we have to find our ways around the problems that present themselves. Such it is with the writer's block; it shouldn't stop one from writing.
