Get Me Some Hundred Million Dollars

"How much do I need? You've got to be kidding me." So I thought when I came across the prompt. "I'll need nothing short of a hundred million dollars", I imagined. But then, to what end?

This prompt feels kind of different for me. At the first sight of it my attention was caught and could just imagine the reality of this happening. That a blank open cheque is placed before me with no repercussions of any sort; that I don't have to repay, no interest discussion, no any form of remittance, just a privilege and freewill offer unto me. "Man, that must be some Disney stories", I thought. We've seen possibilities like this in the fictional world of movies and literatures; where everything is possible.

While still wrapping my head around it, I felt the need to be optimistic still. Things do happen that are very unbelievable. "So, can't this happen as well?", I thought. Well, it can. I've heard stories of people being offered sums of money they never imagined, or other things of great or greater equivalence to some sum of money. And yes, it can. The magnitude though of this; given an open cheque of limitless amount? Well...

What if I got this offer though? What if some stranger offers me some open cheque to fill in any amount that will be paid me? Much more, no underlings to it. I bet like almost everyone I'll choose a hundred million billion dollars, ha-ha. Sounds huge right? Some say "opportunity comes but once." I guess I'm trying to maximize this opportunity to the highest level. But as I stated earlier, "to what ends?"

Now the question is in two folds for me; to what ends will someone randomly offer me such a huge privilege, and to what ends will I be making the request of a hundred million billion dollars? I'm just trying to look beyond the surface nature of the discourse of this prompt.

For someone to make such an offer, I'll consider it some good-hearted intentions or instructions. Possibly they could be some philanthropist or some person holding out to some divine instructions to do this good or some person trying to find restitution with humanity. In any case, the intentions hold out good, and hopefully it should.

Unto me then to make a request of such a humongous amount, must be crazy and selfish right? Yes, so it may seem. I've envisioned the privilege to be able to hold a good amount of money resource so as to be able to channel it for some good measures. Such an offer will only mean more to me if I could use it to touch lives. It's something I fancy. So, to what ends again I say? To touch people's lives, I'll say. It's the basis of such a confident request for me.

Nevertheless, touching my own life also in some sort. This such as getting some necessary things I've always desired but had been cut short as a result of the money resource lacking. These necessities will aid in developing myself in different ramifications of my life. Getting them will mean for a personal growth and value addition. In the long run, it will go on to help develop me into a better version. It's about using the money resource to acquire the other necessary resources.

Not to forget, investments as well. That shouldn't be left out. It's only wise to let some of that money work for me, it's the way to keep the money rolling and replenishing. Lest, I'd be hoping on some stranger to come bless me with an open cheque again.

Beyond the "how much I need", it's to what ends that matters most to me. And the ends are to touch the lives of others while improving mine as well.
